Granted I know it will never change from the current. But one can always hope… they did take rating off pvp gear so that’s a +.
naw, I still think if someone were to play the game solo it should take an exuberant amount of time for them to level their gear up to the current max. But I don’t think it should be out of the realm of possibilities. If someone wants to sweat on solo content vs sweating on raid content… they are still putting in the hours.
You’ve not done a single raid or M+. This is so grossly over exaggerated it’s honestly trolling at this point.
In the same sentence you say this:
There it is. Hand me free gear for doing the lowest content the game has to offer.
So are you asking for more difficult solo content that is on the same difficulty level as Mythic Raid? The only reason a solo player would need mythic raid quality is to do harder content solo. And let’s be honest here… every time they have introduced solo content that was challenging people came out of the woodwork to complain about the difficulty level.
I would be fine with M+ if the low keys/weekly vault didn’t produce gear better than Heroic Raids for minimal effort.
Not really. what if someone just wants to be able to do solo content faster, it’s a lot easier to farm rep in 411 gear than it is in 376. Also maybe once they have better gear they may feel comfortable doing raid content for the experience and their gear makes it so they are less anxious about it. There’s plenty of reasons. And usually when they introduce harder solo content it is essentially mandatory content, now just additional content.
Takes more time to run the keys than to clear Heroic and you get a single shot at loot, from a huge pool of items, compared to multiple rolls with reduced RNG.
It’s fair.
Then that someone needs to get a group and run higher level content to get the 411s.
Just because you want something doesn’t mean it should just be given to you.
It doesn’t. If you want to count building a key to +15, you then need to also include raid progression.
The only part of m+ I hate is the fact that you only get 2 pieces of loot now in a 15+ bring back the days where everyone got a piece. GL farming nokhud offensive 50+ times trying to get a trinket drop.
awww did somebody die on the first trash pull of a +8 repeatedly and ragequit
Totally Agree… no way to fix it now though.
That’s because everything is toxic. Being rude is toxic, being blunt is toxic, doing big pulls in trivial content is toxic, queueing to learn is toxic, not having the right build is toxic. Forgetting to lust is toxic.
I’ve had one truly toxic experience in WoW. This generation needs a thesaurus.
A good point. Blizzard learned that they can find a niche recycling old content. That doesn’t take much effort and the reward structure has incentivized running it as a focal point for a lot of players. It’s a smart business decision.
I’m just sad about the damage it’s done to the heroic raid scene.
M+ and PvP’ers are essentially the same. Both have ratings and both require you to have knowledge and skill on your class for higher difficulty and raiding. M+ is not a requirement and sounds like it’s not for you. You get rewarded more for the harder content you do.
PVPing doesn’t reward gear that’s a higher ilevel than heroic raids IIRC, even at the max upgrade it’s only on par.
That and what it’s done to the player base as a whole.
It hasn’t done anything to the player base except give people a reason to keep playing.
It’s certainly reinforced a ‘meta.’ Raiding, especially heroic, is much more conductive to allowing ‘bad specs’ to join up. Easier to allow someone into a flex spot than it is into a 5 person team for sure.
Maybe it has … maybe it hasn’t … time will tell.
Unrated pvp gear is 411, strife is 421. So yes, yes it is. Now it may scale down outside pvp which is fine because it’s pvp gear for a reason.
