You’re a tank, not a hero. And to be clear, you’re just as replaceable. Which in a M+ is not at all, but I suppose it’s no surprise people with the YPYT mentality don’t know much beyond Heroic dungeons.
What role are you playing? As a healer, I’ll still heal people who pull that aren’t the tank… but if the tank don’t like it, I say abide by that.
Here are two clear examples of people for whom tanking is a waste of time, and who clearly aren’t tanks themselves but still feel entitled to tell a tank how to play and what rules to follow.
its wild how people keep spinning this about tanks being upset in groups. This is about how awful it is build groups if you are not a tank role. You litterally sit there waiting for hours. Only to end with one of these pouty baby tanks that deplete even an easy key.
Most pugs will wait forever to get a full group and then fall apart at the slightest bit of adversity.

Speedrunning dungeons on a timer is what I don’t find fun.
I’m surprised and somewhat grateful that the M+ runs I been doing haven’t broke apart yet from wiping. People are very trigger-happy hitting that leave party button.
Personally I propose buffing tank damage by at least 10% and adding satchels to M+ for healers and tanks at the end in the chest.
You complain about lack of tanks, then complain that people are telling you why there aren’t enough tanks out there and that y’all gotta wait for hours essentially. Then you got the audacity to throw even more shade at em? There is a good reason tanks don’t want to join groups like yours…
Tanking is not community service.
Blizzard doesn’t understand why tanks and healers play the game. You can discern this because they keep trying to turn tanking and healing into dps.
And this is the result. Now you have to wait until late into the season for Johnnydoesdmaage to built his tank offset and try to jump into the driver seat.
Meanwhile, the tank shortage is so bad that I have a queue with a sign up in guild for groups. I won’t be pugging for the foreseeable future.

It’s a plus 2 keys that’s the problem. Allot of us are already sitting at over 2k io so 1. It offers no rating and 2. The gear rewards are not worth it.
Why would I tank for toxic people? Tell me what my incentive is? We just keep getting nerfed. My hpal and prot spec is now in a life support situation. So no. Ima just do solo content until blizz gets their crap in order.
For tokens to upgrade your loot
tanks are already fully geared for the most part due to the delve situation/timewalking raid ect. Most tanks were able to push up above 5 keys on the first day of M+

I haven’t tanked pug keys this expansion because of the nerfs, want to be geared up first and haven’t had enough time to devote to the tank alt yet.
I never feel ‘disrespected’ as a tank, that’s whiny as hell. No one pulls for me, because I don’t stare at walls picking my nose and reading the paper in between packs. No one has -time- to pull for me. If the healer is above 20% mana and not sitting down as soon as they exit combat, I’m on the next pack.

People probably out geared 2s by now and everyone is doing higher keys
Pulling slow can be harder then pulling big. Makes no sense on the surface but:
A group using CDs can kill 10 mobs as fast as 3 in aoe talents. But break that into 3 pulls and now you have two pulls with no CDs left.
Your attitude speaks volumes about the lack of tanks in this game
Who cares about a +2? That’s free.
Better that people don’t tank, than tank with your mindset.
