Oh, ya…
I was trying remember what they did where we could end up in +10 Atal with three people that didn’t know how to start the totem boss fight.
It was timers so loose new players were 3 chesting there way up to 10 without learning anything. Sometimes the group would even stick it and let you explain it instead of someone bailing.
No. If they bring it to you, it isn’t a problem no matter how much you kick your feet and cry about it.
You’re doing an awful lot of typing about a role completely different from your character.
DPS pulling mobs is 10000% a problem, you just don’t understand it because you have zero clue how multiple tank classes work since you’re a Shaman. Doesn’t matter if they bring it to me or not.
Those funny buttons you describe have these things called cooldowns, and they also sit on this thing called a global. If I used my funny buttons on my initial pull, I am unable to press them again for some time. That delays me getting aggro, especially as DPS continue to build aggro on said mobs, which forces me to press more unnecessary funny buttons that both delay or outright hinder my damage, and delay my defensives as I am wasting globals trying to build aggro instead of using them instead to rotate my defensives so that I don’t die to the other 10 mobs I am currently tanking.
If a DPS pulls an extra pack because he thinks I didn’t pull enough and I’m out of sigils, welp good luck buddy, I won’t be getting aggro anytime soon. Hope you enjoy your gray screen.
You really shouldn’t talk about things you have no understanding on.

Wow I do see a problem here , how you gonna level that key to 9 or 10 if a tank don’t join a Lvl 2 itself.
Sounds like you guys need a tank buddy than a pug tank

I mean… you’re a druid. Go heals or tank.
Just speaking as a healer main, maybe I’m part of the problem but I very rarely apply to groups that only have DPS in them if there’s a choice. I don’t really want to sit around for 10 minutes hoping for a tank if there’s another group I could join and start running the dungeon immediately.
I also made the conscious choice to not play pure DPS classes for this very reason. Even if my raid team needs me as DPS, I keep a set of off-spec tanking or healing gear for dungeon invites.
Your just proving the general point of why people dont want to tank lol.

Im not, I quit druid in DF. That class didnt get good changes in TWW. But that subject for another day. Im on a shaman. Last i checked they dont have a tank spec.
I mean your not wrong i did it when i played healer s1/s2/s3/s4 of DF. Its just the problem that there not enough tanks and healers go around. Cause only groups that fill fast are tank groups.
I used to play healer but i dont think blizzard made any good healer changes this xpac which is why i went back to DPS.
Wanting people to play at semi high level in semi high content? I dont think that unreasonable take. The two tanks whining about dps. Have proven they are tanks i wouldnt want to group with if i had ANY other option. Because they wont be timing content i want to be doing.
ok how about this-- as a 606 and 604 dps-- the invites are few are far between
what they shoudl do is jsut make a que like they do for heroics
stop with the elitest baloney

I invite 604/606 dps and then we sit for 10-50minutes waiting for tank to queue. im 610 dps and its not any better.
nerf tanks they said, things will be so much better they said.
whos laughing now
laughs in instant tank que’s for groups
the funniest part about this is that its peak player season right now and this is how bad it is. imagine when players numbers drop off after the hype dies down. then its gonna get REAL BAD. bahaha
and its not like we havent seen this before either, group ques used to last upwards of hours in old expansions.
when that was happening people were trying to find out ways to fix the long waits and one of those fixes was to buff tanks to allow more people to play them thus filling more groups up.
idk how we have gotten to the point where we are regressing

Join a guild that runs keys.
Don’t complain about the community if you don’t want to be part of it.
you do understand that guilds have limited tanks too right?

Easier said then done… i tried looking for a mythic raiding guild last 2 weeks. No one even replies.
I got into 4 +2’s today before I was 600. Wasn’t easy and by no means did I get anything remotely close to insta invites starting out.
Think I was 593 for my first one. A 610 should have no problem getting into one. And little problem getting a tank or healer to join if trying to start one.
Right… ive been queueing for 3-4 hours now. I completed a +2. Had to teach people how to do necrotic 3rd boss. Still timed it. Now im trying create +3 Boralus. Ive had key in queue for 50min now. Zero tanks, Zero healers have queued. 3 610 dps just waiting.
Edit a healer joined and left after 2 minutes. still no tank.
Who’s your main?
Looking at my IO record, haven’t even seen a 610 in a key yet. You should stick out like the sun in an applicants list.
yeah it’s really noticeable this season, almost impossible to get invited as a dps, and when i do get invited, it’s always carrying some keyholder that does less dps than the tank.
blizz is just forcing people to form small group connections if they want to experience m+. i guess it’s cool tho, if you don’t have a friend group hit up delves…

It’s not a Blizzard problem, it’s a toxic player base problem. I just got out of an M+5 where the leader, a DPS mage, kept dying to shockwaves in Grim Batol on almost every pull.
Near the end, he started treating me like a dog, saying ‘Pull faster, can’t you see the time?!’ I told him I wasn’t going to pull with someone dead (the healer was rezzing him), and suddenly, it was my fault we lost the timer.
Anyway, we wiped about four times on the boss because of the tentacles. You people treat us like dogs on a leash, but you’re mistaken. We hold the power to drop your key and mess things up for you if you treat us like that.

You pull, you tank. That’s the golden rule. Go play a tank to learn how to respect the role. People like you, who feel entitled to boss others around, are not welcome and will be dropped at any moment. DPS is replaceable all the time.

Well there aren’t enough tanks because they aren’t respected; no one wants to deal with a bunch of rowdy DPS who are a dime-a-dozen yelling at them and usually the people complaining refuse to roll as a tank… the only way to get more tanks is to make it a better environment for them and maybe people would give it a go.

The thing is, who would want to do a key outside of a guild or ppl they know. Most groups fall apart at the slightest bit of adversity.
