I kept thinking “does this person not realize they’re typing in caps or are they just unhinged?” Than i saw your name, checks out lol
Does anyone else click on these threads solely because of the typo and they are secretly hoping the first post will be riddled with engrish derangement?
Yeah until we know how they’re flagging the accounts they want to look at, we’re just left to speculating.
Im not too worried about it myself. Suspensions come under personal evaluation so im pretty sure 99% of us will be okay
If we put on our thinking caps it’s not hard to understand who is getting banned. Those who are intentionally bricking keys. Those causing multiple wipes or those who join to start the key and immediately leave. The key trolls we can call them.
As an example I was in a CoT and our healer who was geared and had an adequate IO just stood there saying hi after we pulled. They did this until they finally left. This is the type of behavior they are obviously targeting.
People who are trying to read more into, becoming offended or angry likely need to relax.
Now if the behavior above describes you, then enjoy your time to reflect.
Same
/10chars
But the question is: how do they target these folks? What makes them the nail that stands up? Is it flagged when someone leaves the group? From people reporting?
While possible, this is also the type of behavior they already targeted under the previous rules, blatantly hindering your own group. That they made an announcement leaves me to believe they are not refering to this.
That and they probably see you left 35 keys in less than 3 hours or somethings
The funny thing is you don’t get banned for leaving ranked pvp matches. M+ has harsher penalties
OP you scared me. I thought they were suspending people for…
Probably because you’re directly hurting yourself by lowering your own ranking id assume, in m+ you are just tanking someone elses key

They are a clown.
Yeah but leaving a bg blitz is basically making your team lose rating. Very, very hard to win a 8v7 in blitz.
Thats true
But when half the team goes flag instead of one of the 2 bases…
Yeah i have gone against teams where you only really need three people playing the objective to win but not all matches are like that.
They probably run a query on time from key starts to time first player leaves and then assess. That’s where I would start.
You have player A that leaves multiple times, first, within 2 minutes, you have an event to investigate.
If you have a player that is in multiple groups that have 20 deaths before the first boss, you have an event to investigate.
Does Blizzard typically explain their methods of ban investigation?
Probably banning the people who curse people out the moment they leave.
When I leave because someone is doing under the tank in damage, someone always messages me after with some mean insult or something.
They want everyone to be complicit in carrying complete clowns through these keys and it’s never gonna happen. It’s like they don’t have a damage meter.
I’d be upset too buddy.
