Lvl 70 Honor Gear

Day 1 I got almost 40k honor and the whole time I was thinking about how I’m getting way ahead of crybaby Caka. every boosted lock I one-shotted with my Naxx geared warrior was pure bliss. Poor Caka

Yea this post has no point because what exactly do you want? The people that played on launch were just playing the game and you can hardly say anyone abused anything. Blizzard made a change that they should of just left in for prepatch. It happened, nothing is unfair or can be done about it.

I don’t know just play the game, have fun and gear up. Be happy you got TBC to play? Not sure at what point in history people got so hung up on these things and forgot about playing the game.

No one in this game has an unfair advantage. The only thing that is constantly abused is the word “unfair”. Stop using it.

Fixed in season 2 dun worry. I’ll guess you earn more honour at 70 also, but I don’t know.

So dense, you will literally have 2-3 weeks as was said earlier at level 70 BEFORE season 1 starts. You have plenty of time to get the honor blue set of PvP gear. Like has also been said in this thread, capping your 75k honor isn’t as hard as everyone makes it out to be. Along with the fact that AV weekend will be giving even more honor.

Plenty of people have spent the time to get their 75k honor without “abusing” the bug. It could’ve easily been done without the double honor buff aswell, people just want to cry because they didn’t get to take advantage and “abuse” the bug for the extra honor/gear.

It is what it is, its not going to ruin S1, it costs 186k honor to get the full blue PvP set not including the weapons. People will hit lvl 70 having 4 or so items to use in world pvp/bgs. They will have to farm the rest, just like all of us will. If ur not full honor gear by the time S1 starts, then its nobody’s fault but your own.

If you want level 60 honor then you need yo get the level 60 rank requirment along with it.

Got a source on that? From what I’ve been able to look up, the honor point totals for pre-S1 BiS are a fair bit lower than 186k.

We know that the PvP-70 set (along with the belt, bracer, and boots) will total around 116k honor. Adding in the ring and necklace of triumph / dominance, and the total shoots up to ~147k. The PvP trinket costs 8k, so we’re up to ~155k. The epic cloak is another ~12k, so 167k in total.

Realistically, I’m skeptical that most players will be wearing all of the above items. Certain PvE items are probably going to be better in PvP, so factoring that, I’m thinking most PvPers will be spending a lot less honor points than this on their desired PvP set. It’s important to stack resilience, but some items have so much more damage or healing potential that they outweigh the cost in resilience.

I suppose the total approaches 180k+ if we buy some PvP gems.

I have a spreadsheet here with all the costs, the offset items cost 98k in total, and the 5 piece set is 86k

Insignia 8k
Neck 15,300
Ring 15,300 <-- there are 2 rings but I’m only counting it once.
Cape 11,794
Belt 17,850
Bracer 11,794
Boots 17,850
Total = 97,888

The 5 main items are the same cost as the current r14 gear which is 86,061.
Edit: Looks like this is more then the r14 set.

This comes out to 183,949 honor, The weapons are the same costs as well, so add another 40-60k honor if you are getting the weapons. Not including any gems either

The WoWwiki archive I’m looking at has the total for the 5-piece “main set” as being 68,850 honor.

Edit: there’s a discrepancy between the archive numbers and the TBC WoWhead database I’m also looking at. According to WoWhead TBC, the cost for each piece is higher. You’re probably right and the archive I was looking at features the “catch-up” prices.

I guess we’ll just have to see once TBC actually lands.

That would be nice, but i’d think it’s atleast the same cost as the r14 set, if not more.

its not that big of a deal lol, u can still get 75k honor cap after the nerf… i alr have bought full 6/6 rank 14 gear by the time of the weekly reset. overall after the nerf, i have already gained 66k honor in just one week of playing the game (after the honor nerfs including before it was 100% buffed)

‘‘i farmed 75k honor in 4 days easy i was 1 shoting everything im a god’’ also ‘’ MOOOOM MMOOOOM BATHROOM BATHROOM’’

The 75K honor capped eventually equalized because you need to farm Marks as well. There is a slight advantage for those people who capped out day 1 but very little specially when you are planning to spend it on lvl 70.
To those who’s complaining about boosted character getting epic in a week or 2 while others worked for it throughout classic launch, that’s just how it is when expansion comes out. Beside The intended use of the pvp 60 gear is for lvling in hellfire, after 4 levels I’m sure you will replace those with blues and maybe some greens.

This people is the min/max mentally of this generation. Why even play the game for fun anymore. Its a side job w/o pay… lol

Some will be able to get some pvp pieces once hey hit lv70. So, what they will have to wait like the rest of us for arenas. Once arenas start those that are serious enough about them will all be on equal gear.

Just enjoy the damn game. But I would love to see the uproar if blizzard wipes honor come june 1st. lol

Does season 1 even have the pvp ring(s) and the trinkets with actual stats on them? I thought those were introduced in later seasons but I’m not sure.

Isn’t the fun Min/Maxing and theorycrafting. Thought that is why we played RPGs (gear based games) I have tons of fun when completing a BiS build. That is where the true fun and journey begins.

Literally everyone was pvping that day. Who exactly was “abusing” the bug, at least intentionally. We all just logged on and messed around with the new talents and had fun. I didn’t know honor was bugged till later

this is me on my rogue. i have like 25k honor and have been playing night and day,

Thats an obvious answer. Its the journey and continuing to gear up your toon that is part of the game. It seems like for some cutting corners and getting everything fast is the new meta. So, that they can complain that the game is boring 1 or 2 months in.

See I don’t get this. The reason why I want to get gear fast is to have fun. The true enjoyment is when you are done gearing. Again the real fun begins and journey starts when you have BiS and are totally Min/Maxed. That is where the game begins. Something that has been lost in Retail. The joy of completing characters or builds then just playing. Then of course you can go on if you will to other builds, Alts, or Twinks to complete them too.

The greatest joy is playing the game with a completed BiS Min/Maxed character. You are finished gearing and now can just enjoy your character and whatever journey you want to take them on.

Imagine not being like the high welfare warlord dunning. I boosted to 58 ; sat in AV all day during 10x. Got all my honor for high warlords gear. Trivializing all of anyone’s legitimate work.

Inb4 marks; we got those too baby.
