Yep. LOL. Same same. Though I am sure everyone says that ![]()
Go back to a pve server was actually a common saying in vanilla. Still stands.
Roll on pve server, flag when you want some world pvp, don’t flag otherwise. Get your pvp from battlegrounds when they are released.
Problem solved.
Phase two will weed out the weak who seem triggered by PVP and camping on PVP centric servers. There’s always someone whining in general chat about how the pvp is excessive. This didn’t happen in vanilla as often. Wonder why. Could it be…retail has no PVP in a world LOL. It’s world of duelcraft
I just got killed by a rougue 5 levels above me before I had to log for dinner.
Don’t you worry your pretty little night elf face, rogue. I’ll see you at 60 after a Respec.
That’s my take. I rolled on a PvP server knowing I’d get handed. “Oh noes!”
I like PvP. Does it suck to die to a higher lev player? Sure. But I went in knowing I would.
And you know what? I will be again. And again. And again before I’m 60.
No bigs. We all here to have fun killing each other in PvP. That’s what we are all here for. I expect to get rolled by groups, ganked by higher levels and lose fights, duels, etc.
All a good time.
They will not be putting restrictions on attacking lower level players. Nice try. PvP servers were this way in Vanilla. They will stay that way in Classic. If you can’t handle it, reroll on a PvE server and flag when you feel up to it. That’s what they are there for.
It’s as simple as that.
*I think I killed the same Gnome Mage 6x
today who was 6 levels lower than I. He thought it would be a good idea to try to gank me while I was low life fighting another mob. I hope he didn’t learn his lesson. That’s why PvP servers rock.
i had an undead mage in tanaris root me then spam blizzard on me LMFAO
Anyone repeatedly getting ganked is because they want to get ganked. Have you gone into settings and maximized your zoom distance? How can you not see the other faction in the distance? When you see the other faction, why don’t you decide to pack it up, get on your mount and get out of there?
After you get ganked, why don’t you try leaving the area and finding somewhere else to exp? Or calling for help and counter-ganking
Gank you once, shame on them. Gank you twice, shame on you
It’s funny all the response come from horde. I’m not the one complaining. I’m just reporting what I see in local chat. If you haven’t read the whole post, you shouldn’t be responding. I don’t mind nor do I care if you weak faction gang up on me or wait for my HP to go low. In the end, you can never beat me. It takes two or more and most of the time two don’t cut it. I don’t have a problem.
I do believe video games make you weak and give you this outcome in life that hurting people is good. Try using some RL sense in video games like honor. If you think you are good, wait for full HP. If you can’t kill an alliance, move along.
The horde are a menace. When we’re all 60 and there’s no more ganking lowbies then what will you do? You will get your @ss handed to you 24/7 from every direction. Then again, the Alliance are the bad people right? Pick on someone your own size and see what happens. The outcome will be 9/10 times not in your favor.
That is why you support griefing.
if you want to pvp fairly then wait for battlegrounds. WPvP has always been and always will be about ganking and disrupting someone else’s game play.
Yea, that’s kind of why it’s awful gameplay and why Warmode was added to retail. 1 way fights that result in someone wasting 5 minutes of their life running back to their body isn’t good gameplay. And saying “go to a PvE server” is just non-argument. People don’t join PvP servers because they don’t want to PvP, they just want the PvP to be the non-griefing type more than 20% of the time.
That said, the ganking hasn’t been too bad for me so far. Usually it’s in select areas and, at least on my server, more Horde play nice than don’t. It tends to be more volatile on Retail. I was out front of Uldaman for a good 1-2 hours earlier and multiple groups of Horde passed me, none of them attacked once. In retail it’s almost a guarantee that if you go near a group of the opposite faction that their tribal mob instinct kicks in. Something about the mindset Classic puts you in seems to tone this down.
The people you’re trying to explain to understand this. They don’t care. They’re short-sighted.
Stock up on popcorn and enjoy their whining as their field of targets gradually decreases.
I think it’s a generalization to call MMO players weak. I personally only engage in pvp these days over mining nodes. Mithril sells for 1.5+ gold a stack, I’ll be damned if I’m going to let alli take a mithril node instead of me, as a paladin my level too stupid to dispel viper sting learned last night, also wasting bubble to still die. He at least got the skill up on the mithril before I could ride up and kill him
I don’t jump in fights between 1 horde and alli even levels unless the alli has already won and killed the horde. I kill the alli after just to avoid being accused of being a traitor for not helping at all
But yea, unless u want my mining or a named quest mob, I will happily exp next to alli np
So not all horde are alike, and alli has just as many bad apples
The intelligent response would be evaluating what you like and don’t like to do in games. If getting ganked isn’t something you want to deal with then they made servers for that type of person. It really is that simple. I and many others enjoy everything PvP servers offer even the possibility and likelihood of getting ganked. This game is a far cry from where PvP type games used to be. Imagine being killed and looted of all your stuff. Here it’s just a simple Rez run and you either retaliate via PvP or leave. Taking over an area is a natural part to a healthy PvP server. No ones forcing anyone to play there but if they do, then it’s on you to understand type of game you’re jumping into.
Said it before and will likely say it again and again. If you like world PvP don’t play on PvP servers.
They like world PvP. What’s your next solution?
Play on Normal servers. Still tons of PvP will happen.
I was killing Elementals they were level 44. It was tough. A Tauren Warrior helped me kill. We took turns until our quest was done. He even helped during the final quest of the boss. Undead Mage and Priest rolled up on me and started attacking during my turn in. He yelled KAZ which I think it means no. He was level 44 and I was 40. If he wanted to kill me he would have done it. He helped me kill and we left in peace. It would be pointless to go at it instead we worked together. It’s very very rare to find horde like that. I think the class you play says who you are. Most undead are either running from you because they are scared or they will gang up on you because all they think is KILL KILL KILL.
Kind of fits the lore, imo.
I’d like to point out that on the pve server I play on I’ve never seen anyone complain about pvp. Must be something different, but I can’t put my finger on it. Oh, I know! There’s no pvp without consent on pve servers.
