Ah… poor old LotRO. I played the beta for that. It had a lot of potential for people heavily into the RPG fantasy side of things. The maps and music were nice for that era of graphics. The crafting was very thorough and fun. The story immersion was top notch… but in terms of combat… well, let’s just say it was no WoW.
I had some good times in that game when it first launched but last time I nosed around, after it had been free to play for a while, YIKES! Virtually every aspect of the game has a cash shop option… it’s baked into the main UI for some stuff.
Tres sad.
