So I just hit 70 and decided to go from horde to alliance specifically night elf. So I’m stuck in darkshore and cant figure out how to get to stormwind to get back to dragon isles. Any help please.
Try changing Darkshore back to the “past” by looking on your map for the white comment image NPC. Then take a gryphon back to rut’theran village and take the boat to Stormwind.

Fly to the Exedar? Isn’t there a portal there?

Back in the olden days, there wasn’t a boat to Stormwind. You had to catch a boat to Menethil Harbor, then jog across the Wetlands (and hoo boy could that be a trek for low-level squishies, especially with an aggro radius you could measure in parsecs) to get to Ironforge, then take the tram to Stormwind.

Oh yes… I made that trek once to get my night elf to Goldshire. I did get asked by numerous people how I got to Elwynn Forest.
Yeah, if you saw a night elf priest over in Westfall, by God you knew they’d earned their way there.
If you have a Dalaran Hearthsotne you can us that and use the Stormwind portal from there.
Garrison hearthstone would work too, just fly to Ashran to a port to Stormwind.
Don’t use your regular hearthstone unless it’s a good location to take you close to Stormwind.
also you can tell whom got ported and who has ran
if i recall you be about lvl 2-5 from the xp alone

My hearthstone was set to the starting zone to dragon isles but after the change it sends me to darkshore.

in that case, go with the Dalaran hearthstone, or the first option which was posted.

You laugh, but my brother actually did that once. Took for-freaking-ever, but he did it.
I have fond memories of making that run to meet up with my brother’s warrior. Seeing those crocs and whatever else kill the others around me was fun. A bit heartwarming now that I think about it.
That was a fun trip.
Still can’t figure out why I didn’t have a mage/lock just magic me there lol.
