Losing motivation to play

Yeah I got it like 75%, but have to wait until first week of December for Festerface to enter the violet citadel rotation.

All G tho it’s been fun revisiting legion(AKA TBC part 2), such a solid expac.

Wait, is it a weekly rotation?!

Yeah the bosses avail in the dungeon change weekly, if you check the achievement on wowhead you can find the rotation in the comments, I think 12.4 is festerface, so if you haven’t completed the achiev set a reminder for the 4th to do it, just gotta kill them in the wrong order which is ez when you hit them for a mil with a melee swing.

I got the achievement back when it was current, but I do want the heroic warrior icecrown shoes to complete the set that drop from shivermaw, I just never know when she’s up.

honestly man having people to q with changes the vibe, doesn’t matter if the comp is bad. Its just like m+, pugging feels pretty terrible but having a squad to just slam some keys with makes it extremely enjoyable. Just dont think this game is built well for solo play regarding end game content, its at least there if people want it, but it doesn’t come close to playing with people.

Yup! Personally, I just love to Q 3v3 with friends but it’s unfortunately a rare occurance. Finding 2 people to Q at a specific time is difficult to say the least. It’s even worse when you get to a higher level and have to play late at night to find decent Qs (who wants to play past midnight on the east coast for primetime?).

Shuffle scratches the itch sometimes but I find that bracket extremely frustrating to play. I can’t remember the last time I got out of a lobby and thought to myself “Wow! That was an enjoyable experience! Everyone played well and the games were challenging”.

This is 100% why I heal. When I log in, I want to be able to play. Not log in and wait 45min to potentially play, hoping a que hits and/or people dont leave after round 2 of a RSS.

I guess when achievements are easier to get, you have more motivation to play than without the help.

For you the transmog might have been the only goal, but imagine you usually wouldn’t be able to reach 1800, but then MMR is so high that you can go for it. Wouldn’t you do it?

Or when you are usually somewhere stucked between 1.9 and 2k, wouldn’t you go for duelist when its realistically to get? How about Elite/Glad for players who are normally around 2.2k?

I think higher MMR let more people define new goals which they want to reach, at least when your intention is to play PvP and not just get the transmog.

I get what you are saying here. For me in the transmog scenario is a more tangible reward. But after that what is there really to chase besides a higher rating number? And maybe that is enough for people to keep wanting to grind. To me it does not make the long que times any more bearable. The que is my biggest reason for losing interest in the game.
A higher MMR just kind of feels like a carrot on a stick situation. The feeling of improvement is always good incentive, but does it kind of become superficial if they are just inflating the rating? I could be thinking too much like an MMO were content=rewards versus a competitive game mode like a Moba or shooter where rating/status=fun.

PVP just feels terrible this expansion not gonna lie too many absorbs roots etc not sure what they have done but they need to go back to how pvp was back in bfa / shadowlands imo

sick transmog bro

1950 is weapon illusion I think. 2100 the tabard?! 2400 for glad mount or the legend toy.

There is definitely stuff to queue for. Even though I agree, that there could be more. Queue times are mostly an issue in shuffle, not 3s. You can only bypass that by playing a healer.

Theres actually pretty good reward track progression now, they changed it this expac.

1800 full elite set>1950 enchant>2100 cosmetic duelist weapons+cloak>2400 tabard and glad mount progression. PvP has the most amount of cosmetic rewards out of any of the end game pillars, m+ is where you are basically playing just to chase IO after getting 2k rating (ksm), but in pvp there is essentially always something cosmetic to work for.
