I liked it. It gave two characters some much needed depth. Especially Lor’themar considering Kael’thas is in SL.

Sadly, I have a sinking feeling that this means one or both of them are about to be axed off.
Characters being happy? Never lasts.

I hate to admit it, but after reading the story my first thought was “Well, Lor’themar is gonna die in Shadowlands. Son of a…”

Which would really be a shame, because I feel like he’s really stepped up in recent years to be a petty cool character to fill the racial leader void left behind by Kael’thas.
And now Kael’thas is coming back and there may not be any more room for our boy Lorthy anymore.

It was a light story, just two people trying to decompress in an extremely stressful time, and also kindling a relationship.
Lor’themar finally reveals his own thoughts on what happened with Kael’thas. Also that he has recurring nightmares about Alleria tainting the sunwell. Also goes into detail about his work/life balance and how he feels guilt over taking the time to read before bed.
Then, of course Thalyssra has to keep finding different ways to flirt with him because Lor’themar couldn’t take the hint if she threw a brick at him that said “Kiss me, you fool”

If they kill Lor’themar I’ll be seriously disappointed. It’d be another good character and Horde leader down the drain.

Lor’themar is now the longest standing leader of the horde behind thrall… Of course he’s next.
Oh I agree, but who in WoW has ever gotten a happy ending?
The closest was Thrall getting to ride off into the sunset with Aggra and look how that turned out.
Well, he’s a well developed character, Horde, major, and been around for a while, and that makes him a prime target for the writing team. So, I really hope they don’t. But at this point I wouldn’t be surprised.
No, but seeing as Lor’themar’s been pretty active last few expansions, now would be a good time to put him on pause and let him recover. It’s time they give some other characters some spotlight so they aren’t boring.

Nat Pagle. Still doing what he loves: fishing.
There are happy endings out there, but they don’t involve major characters whose lives are tied up in constant war.
And will all that’s going on, and they’re getting killed by trash mobs, we’ll see Jaina just TP’ing away and/or freezing half the ocean to win something unwinnable.

Over the years they’ve done a good job of taking Lor’Themar from “Who the hell is that?” into an actual well developed character. It’s also nice to see some character story that is more about personal lives rather than things that further the overarching story of the game.
Of course like others are saying, I’m sure this means he’ll die horribly in Shadowlands and we’ll be back to business as usual.
