Lore's reply on Morhaime's tweet

I understand the logic behind this statement, but most if not all management (I’d have to double check this so don’t quote me) occupied much lower floor positions prior to their current job titles. So It’s very likely that they were in the thick of things to have witnessed a fair amount of the allegations.

I don’t think it is/was as super widespread as the court docs make it seem. Yes, these things probably did/do happen in certain areas of the company under certain leadership, but there is a lot of reports that most of the people working there are wonderful people and not this scum of the earth type.

And it’s hard to know what is exactly true, what is still going on, what is a decade old story, and what was embellished on to make them seem worse (all court document instances are based entirely on reports received)

Yeah I don’t really know what went on or what to believe right now.

But I do know that if what lore is saying is true, then lore just sat around and watched it all happen. And if lore is lying… lore sucks for lying.

So either way, lore just outed himself here

I mean, he’s putting a huge target on his from ActiBlizz just by posting this as a current employee, you have to give him some credit for that, he’s risking his job.

In hindsight it’s always easy to say “he/i should have warned!”, but at the time it may not even be something you think of, you think “leadership will take care of it” because we’re supposed to trust our bosses to do that.

I highly doubt he just ‘sat around and watched it happen’.

He likely spoke up about it, but as with many complaints at the time, nothing was done. Look at Alex Afrasiabi’s situation for example. His conduct goes back years. I highly doubt Lore would have sat around and let that go on without saying anything, which is why he’s being so critical of Mike, because he knew that Mike knew, and Mike did nothing.

How do you know ion knew ? Aside from a gut feeling.

He did but im sceptical of his motivations.
Since he did not acknowledge how his inaction played any part of anything, it feels like he’s trying to take the heat off himself and those working there now, and pin it all on past members of staff.

Idk actually how much mike knew about that, J. allen was alex’s superior, things don’t just go directly to the president, they go to your superior and that person decides what to do with it. It may be Bracks fault entirely that a lot of this was going on.

Considering the house cleaning in the last 2 years, I’m inclined to believe much of it WAS former staff.

People leave businesses, but not that many high ranking officials in that short of time.

I mean… Jeff Kaplan’s EQ name was “tigole bitties”

And yet all reported victims say Mike took action when he knew something was happening, other times, they(predators/abusers) hid it from him.
If victims aren’t blaming Mike, why should you and Lore?

At this point it’s rats jumping ship, every man for himself, run for your life, whatever metaphor you like to attempt saving themselves.

There’s a tweet from a former employee who posted her letter to Morhaime detailing her dissatisfaction with the workplace culture against women back when he was a CEO.
He must have known.

if he knew about it, and did nothing… well thats pretty scummy there lore.

The big assumption in these statements is that everyone is just sitting around watching each other.

Before I started working for myself I was in a pretty small office. Two floors, maybe under 100 employees all around. I had no idea what went on in other departments, unless one down the hall had someone really loud, and even then it was hard to make out. I was low-level management and my immediate bosses all had rooms with doors that closed.

Now, I’m not saying this is how all offices work, or that’s how Blizzard worked. But when people get a little crazy at the office, to the point of being obnoxious, which I assume drunk guys walking around to cubicles would be, if you’re not in charge or a part of the antics, you’re either reporting it or ducking your head out of frustration and trying to get your work done.

And this was one office. Blizzard has multiple, with multiple departments. It’s no doubt that Afrasiabi and people like him had a reputation at the company, and it’s no doubt that those reputations were known by everyone. But it’s also silly to believe that everyone that works there is complicit.

Josh Allen (Lore) might have had rumors hitting him. That happens at every workplace. But to assume he “knew” what was going on is a bit asinine. I doubt most people truly knew what was going on.

And I hope they track them down wherever they go honestly.

It’s just a civil suit though, so Blizz will pay and nothing will happen to those who have already left.

It could very well be.
But all this pointing fingers at each other just makes every single one of them look bad.

Theyre not helping their cases at all, they’re just throwing more wood on the fire.

They should just keep their mouths shut

And if they spoke to a lawyer they would.

A lawyer will tell you never speak to the cops, well in this civil case the cops are the public.

The way I see it is the only way for his tweet to be the truth, is if he knew himself.

We literally have Lore calling him out and saying he knew.

Like… what does Lore get from lying right now? Serious question to think about, where’s the gain? If he’s lying just to throw Mike under a bus, then he knows he’s going to get called out by other staff who know better. That’ll lead to him getting ostracized and may ultimately face a demotion or be fired. Not much of a gain there.

Do you guys all have reading comprehension issues? All he said was that it’s incredibly unlikely that the guy who has been in charge for only 3 years is the mastermind behind it.

But, then again, his tweet was a response to absolutely nothing Mike Morhaime said. He just threw in a quote of his own out of the blue that couldn’t be found in any way in Morhaime’s statement.
