Hi Blizzard Team and Lore Enthusiasts,
I’m playing an Earthen character in World of Warcraft and have been deeply immersed in their identity and origins. As someone who is neurodivergent, I often approach gameplay with a strong focus on safety, clarity, and immersion. I’ve found myself avoiding combat and staying in inns because I’m unsure what death means for an Earthen from a lore perspective.
Given that the Earthen were originally Titan constructs—possibly immortal or at least highly resilient—what happens when one dies? Is there any lore that supports the idea of a consciousness backup, memory transfer, or reactivation via Titan technology? Could resurrection be interpreted as a kind of neural reboot rather than magical revival?
I’m also wondering if this could be an opportunity to explore accessibility-friendly storytelling. For players like me, having a clearer understanding of what death means for our characters can reduce anxiety and help us engage more confidently with the world.
I’d love to hear thoughts from the community and the devs—especially if there’s any precedent in the lore or if others have explored similar ideas in their roleplay.
Thanks for creating a world where we can explore these kinds of questions. I appreciate any responses that are thoughtful and respectful.
Warm regards,
Packet
