compared to drak he is quite a challenge.
managed to down him once, put up doom and ran off when i realized group was gonna wipe. doubt that would be repeatable
all the data on him on wowhead/youtube is over a decade old.
any tips on defeating him would be awesome.
is it worth manaburning/draining him?
the damage output to the group is insane.
He was quite a monster even in vanilla, Can’t remember anything except his shadowbolt volley was interuptable, so bring shadow pots If your kickers ain’t on point.
Or run another healer hybrid specifically for that fight.
Hit him until he dies
Spread out to avoid his chain lightening spell. Kill adds ASAP. Keep melee behind him. And burn him down in the second phase.
Disarm him, mana drain.
You need a carry group. If you’re whole raid is in pre-bis blues, you’re gonna get rocked. Valthalak don’t play no games. Bring in some T2 geared guildies for sure. Ranged DPS is preferred or keep your melee away from the Tank and burrrrrrrn.

He’s a super easy boss.
