So i’ve made a new alt, crafted everything did some quests here and there, and got it up to 360.
I’ve started to run Mythic+, i already have 1.5k Score, i’ve done over 20 keys in this alt, and i’ve only gotten 3 pieces of loot in 20 keys, and my friends that are running with me have gotten every 2 or 3 keys, they are already at 395 and i’m still at 375, is there something wrong with the DK loot drop %? I legit think i’m getting trolled, how is it even possible that i’m getting loot every 8 dungeons. I can’t put my head around it.
Probably just bad luck but the way rng works in video games, maybe you just have something about your character that attracts bad luck. Just keep playing with those friends and they’ll start trading you stuff.
Gearing in M+ is pretty bad outside of the Vault. Like, better than Raiding, but still pretty bad. If you want something, you pretty much have to expect to target it heavily and spam the same dungeon 15+ times.

Numbers as given would indicate that you rolled a 1 out of 100.
So unlucky, but realistic.
My lock went like a week and a half before getting anything useful, my warrior is gearing up relatively quick.
Rng is rng.
Loot % is per run drop % its not over all runs drop %

how is random giving undesired results possible?
Seems like pretty bad luck, but certainly possible.
Just to simplify, let’s assume every end-of-run chest always drops 2 pieces of loot and anyone can get both pieces. So your chance of getting at least one piece of loot is 2/5 or 40%. The chance of getting no loot is (1 - 0.4) = 0.6. The chance for at least one piece over N runs is 1 - (0.6)^N. 2 runs is 64%, 3 runs is 78%, 5 runs is 92%, 10 runs is 99.4%.
If you have MS Excel, you can use the Binom.Dist function with nSucesses=3, nTrials=20, SingleChance=0.4, and cumulative=True to see that the likelihood of your specific loot experience is only 1.6%, which is really bad luck for you.
I’ve heard tales that one person can not win both pieces from a M+ chest. If true, the single chance probability is 45% rather than 40% (1/5 + 1/4).
Remember, bad luck exists.
Seems like you haven’t sacrificed enough vulpera to the troll gods.

Try more like 50-60 times.
Ive run HoV so many times i cant even count and still havent seen hunger of the pack.
Well, of course not, you’re wearing that silly hat.
M+ loot drops are low.
That’s Personal Loot for you!
People who say this always make me laugh.
Can you post on the character that is never getting loot?
It is theoretically possible that they could design a loot system that would give the lowest ilvl player in the dungeon a worse drop rate than higher ones. I doubt players are able to collect the sort of data that would show this was or wasn’t true. Someone could probably create an addon to aggregate data from dungeons you run and show whether that is happening.
Your complaint is not uncommon.
Yeah, that’s me, i’m salty, nobody believes me. Also like i got Ragefeather on this character 2 months into the raid. When spamming Nokhud

This is true, but you’ve got the wrong conclusion from it, it’s still 40% (0.2+(0.8*0.25))
You’re only entered into the 2nd roll if you don’t win the 1st.
Good catch! The first piece can go to 1 of 5 players (1/5=0.2). The second piece can go to 1 of 4 remaining players (1/4=0.25), assuming you did not win the first piece (1 - 1/5=0.8). So my mistake; it’s 40% either way on a single run.
