Loot council is superior to DKP/MS Open Roll/Casual

And how do you go about that? Show up on time or at least communicate that you’ll be late, have consumables ready and perform well. Anything more than that is excessive and the player in question should leave if any more than what’s listed is required for loot

DKP is clearly free market capitalism. You get paid for your work, and you spend it on what you want, how you want.
LC is more like communism where everyone works, and only the ones in power decide who gets rewarded.
It’s trickle down loot distribution.

This is usually the refrain of a toxic player who expects to be fed gear before he gquits. Every failing and ever perceived slight is blamed on the guild deep state lol

Just saying it’s by far the worst system. Oh and notice that for almost every guild recruitment post is for loot councils says something about player retention huh.

I’m pretty sure Ronald Reagan is spinning in his grave right now.

Personal loot was probably the best thing to happen to WoW. The days of stacking 10 players is over.

Worst thing that ever happened to WoW.

If you believe that everyone that participate in a loot councils has the guild’s best interests without any influence from personal relationships you are crazy.

In a DKP scenario, both players get the same points. How is that fair?

Rogue 1:

  • Zero trash damage
  • No consumes/enchants
  • Doesn’t bother even farming dungeons for upgrades (just raid logs)

Rogue 2:

  • Has decent trash damage
  • Farms consumes and enchants their gear
  • Does a few dungeons every week for some possible upgrades or helping guildies[quote=“Zugorim-bigglesworth, post:94, topic:462351, full:true”]
how is it fair to work harder then the other person and because of a personal relationships be given the shaft. People are the problem at the end of the day.

i dont hate the idea of personal loot, but i would rather trade and share with a guild than see nothing drop after putting in the effort.

There are some that are like this but not all of them are. I do find that LC helps weed these folks out.

It’s not.

People who think DKP systems are always fair are just deluding themselves.

Loot council has its fair share of issues as well.

100% it’s down to the guild’s leadership and how they run the guild.

Your deluding your self if you think that loot council has ANY effect AT ALL on progression.
MC and BWL were downed in a day.

MYTHIC AZSHARA was downed in less then 10 days with NO LOOT COUNCIL

Limit and Method are very much loot council during progression.

Even though the loot type is personal, they have an order of what classes get what loot and what the hybrids should be rolling on.

loot council does the min-max math across the whole guild. just because the content can be cleared in greens or naked doesnt mean that ensuring the max output doeant help at all.

The fact of the matter is loot council is a trash system and that is why it was removed

Loot council has never been a system in WoW, just like DKP was never a system baked into WoW.

Loot council is a philosophy that the leaders of your guild decide where the loot goes. It does not matter if the loot is set to Master, Group, or Personal. You made a statement saying Mythic Azshara guilds do not use Loot council, which is false. The top tier retail raiding guilds funnels the gear obtained.

Personal loot was added, similar to LFR because Activision felt that groups of people are too stupid to play their game, so the game would do it for them.

what are you talking about master looter was in the game for years.

literally was impossible to loot council mythic azshara NO ONE had the ilvl except for a few lucky titanforges.

Activision probably saw the lack of sub retention directly due to how TERRIBLE a system loot council is and removed it

loot council has always been the best system, given that nobody is selfish or malevolent
however, that usually isn’t the case
