Well my post really is dripping with sarcasm like you guessed. I am afraid what is going to happen once BWL has been out for a month. Then for sure with AQ40. Are we just going to hand out the rank 12 to 14 gear. As once people start getting AQ40 gear. Even the Marshals and Warlord sets. People are going to get global killed.
I am for as little changes as possible. PvP in vanilla was always a dumpster fire towards the higher ranks. The old honor system really does need overhauled but then would it still be a authentic museum piece? We for sure dont need the TBC pvp system. Just an overhaul to the current one to make it less toxic, harmful to peopleâs health.
Of course with how much abuse has been done in the pvp system now. Be nice if Blizzard actually stripped a lot of the rank from people that did the premades and then did WSG que dodging.
Interesting, this means Blizz is willing to break even things that unquestionably were common in vanilla if they are done to such an extent as to alter the player experience in Classic.
Iâd love it if that applied to PvE as well⊠but I doubt it. Has to have the impetus of people getting their butts kicked over and over and being angry about it, and the equivalent things in PvE have the opposite effect of making people feel powerful.
Itâs a bit lame that they had to go to this extent, too. Really should not have needed to prevent people from being able to use their time to prep for the team theyâd be facing in order to eliminate dodging.
Oh well, itâs all vicarious for me anyway at this point, maybe Iâll get some good premade v. premade WSG videos out of it.
Inability to queue dodge also lowers expected HpH for WSG relative to AV, which could cause some rankers to trickle back to AVâŠ
I donât recall queue times being as short as they are now. While this behavior may have existed back in the day, it was far from common.
We might have more people playing Classic now than Vanilla had at its peak. The way the game played has changed. Blizzard is responding in a way to protect the integrity of the game. Changes wouldnât happen if folks didnât abuse particular mechanics.
PUGs are going to continue to have to fight premades. Removing scouting just means that premades will fight to first cap and then stop contesting the flag against other premades, to keep the games short.
No, there are nowhere near the 10 million peak vanilla players.
Common is an ambiguous word. It was common in the sense that the top guilds on my server, well prior to CRBGs, had immediately figured out that it was the way to peak honor. There was hilarious drama between the top H and A guilds as to which one was dodging the other.
But dodgers probably consisted 5% of pvpers then and 50% now (numbers wild guesses) so, less of an impact on pugger experience.
