Looks at the upcoming class changes

and seeing classes on their 2nd and now 3rd rework getting basically reworked again and seeing the rogue section:

Spells (1)
  • Feint Performs an evasive maneuver, reducing damage taken from area-of-effect attacks by 40% [Elusiveness: and all other damage taken by 0%]for 6 sec.
StartRecoveryTime changed from 1000 ms to 0 ms

Yep - about right… waiting for the “we hear you” or “We’ve followed recent data and feedback on class performance…” Sure would be nice if you had your own feedback and data before charging full price for a game! Oh wait - you still going to pretend that you have a QA team still? Your entire system has failed.

How hard would it be to even acknowledge us?? Like Holy Mackerel, Blizz, we’re not asking for a lot here.

I knew when they did the double Feint charge that it would be really as far as BlizZard would go. Taking it off the GCD helps in situations that Rogues can not avoid damage/CC but then again you can anticipate it so the GCD is a non factor for experienced Rogues IMO.

Surely this not the only change?

Don’t worry we’ll be left to suffer until the inevitable 11.1.5 or 11.2.0 Rogue rework that rips things out of the base class again to put into a tier set and have all 3 specs designed around that tier set that you obviously will lose in the future again.

Some reworks to Echo Reprimand but i dont recall much else besides SnD becoming a passive for good.

Rogues in 10.2.7:
“Surely there will be some changes in PTR to help us”

Rogues in late PTR:
“Surely a half-patch will rework all these issues”

Rogues now:
“I dare you to break another talent, do it”

More changes will come but they are really being ultra cautious with Rogues.

lol. This feels like Bliz was like “hey shamans exist! Who will take its place…”

To be fair, they are accurately targeting the stuff where I actively go “wtf is this like this” as I’m playing the game, one of them being Slice n Dice obviously, but that’s kind of a classic grievance. The new one lately was “why am I the only one who’s defensive is in my DPS rotation”, you literally press Feint rotationally with the amount we have to use it, it was melting my brain.

They’re also buffing the Vanish heal thing. It’s still not gonna be good enough, but at least it’s not complete filler waste trash.

The next step is start making some of these talents baseline, getting rid of some of them, baking them all into one talent, etc, etc. Why are there so many Garrote talents in the Sin tree. You could have 1 talent: Garrote deals 70% more damage, awards 2 combo points, has no cooldown when used from stealth, silences enemies for 6 seconds and is applied to a nearby enemy for 6 seconds after breaking stealth.

Is that too crazy??? Are we not allowed to have talents like this or? Same thing with Shiv, why are there like 4 talents for it?? 2% Leech while stealthed? Why? Regen 1% life while SnD is active, why? Shroud of Concealment cooldown? Really? What is this crap?

Talents have to be weighted similarly so yes? Even at capstone strength itd be mandatory in every build.

Deathmark is mandatory in every build and there is nothing around it that is, other than Seal Fate maybe. So we’re already off to not making any sense, but I get what you’re saying about weights.

When I asked “is that too crazy?” it was more like “what is this design”.

Deathmark is a centralized talent. The centralized talents are all weighted a bit higher to incentivize taking them. Theyre centralized to be easy to take no matter the build. Each rogue spec has one. Its an exception not the rule. The change youre suggesting would still make the talent stronger than Deathmark so what is your point?

The silence from Garrote needs to be baseline again at the very least. Too many 'talents" need to be baseline again. Iron Wire can stay as a damage debuff as it is. Also, Lightweight Shiv should be baseline for Assassination.

Outlaw shouldn’t have to talent into Loaded Dice as the spec really can’t function without it. We have been saying this ever since Loaded Dice was introduced.

I think you’re being too literal. Molecular was not legitimately suggesting we get the talent they suggested. It was just to illustrate a point, a point they already clarified by stating;

When I asked “is that too crazy?” it was more like “what is this design”.

Yeah, but then they would have to actually think of something useful to put in its place.

Considering how many flat stat buffs and uninteresting interactions our tree has at the moment, as well as nearly zero unique build paths, it’s pretty obvious that they have zero clue how to make talents for the class.

Cautious about what? That would imply they’re actually listening to… anyone at this point.
