Looking for others tired of facing premades

Horde or alliance, doesn’t matter. Point is that I am tired of facing premades in BGs and since the feedback team is poor at responding to suggestions, I want to get together people who feel the same. I suggest a super easy solution that still lets premades do their toxic nonsense while restoring quality-of-life: make an option to avoid premades/queued groups with more than 5 players. This option would let solo queuers actually have fun to a better degree, and premades can still form with 5 people (which is enough to build a good comp).

The only terrible argument I see is that it would extend wait times–mostly incorrect. If you don’t want to wait, then you don’t click the avoid option. I know i would be okay with longer BG wait times for a game where I don’t have to AFK to avoid getting GY camped. I’m sure premade-people will be upset over less easy honor to farm, but your opinion isn’t really valid.

If you are getting people together that feel the same, maybe you should all make a premade together. :face_with_monocle:

Glad you aren’t Horde, because you are a terrible Troll

You’re horde just que up that AV and get your free wins.

Not trolling, just stating the obvious fix instead of regurgitating the same complaint for the 1,000th time since phase 2 expecting some kind of change in phase 5.

Almost 2 hour queues though, making it unsuitable for anything but rep outside of AV weekend for Horde too.

Well he’s clearly not ranking if he’s not in pre-mades.

So if you aren’t trolling, then that means you can’t read, because if you did, then you would know why people make this complaint so often

But its funny you actually think its going to get fixed 1 phase from classic being over.

I think scrub skirmish league should be a thing. I’m all for pug fun games no reward.

First of all, everybody’s opinion is “valid”. The logic behind them may not be.

That being said, I think one of the mistakes for BGs was making them Cross-Realm instead of keeping them Server bound and continuing to build those Server bonds. BGs are supposed to be a Team effort, which I find Pre-mades to be doing.

Due to the nature of how we (as in the community) treat the Finder (another mistake) is that we look at it as a “Finder” for OTHER people. That way we can be “hands off” in actually forming a Team, for a Team based mini-game. That’s a problem, IMO. Because BGs aren’t really meant for “Solo Play”.

Become the premade.

But solo play is an option, and I queue for solo play, so why shouldn’t I face other solo queuers? I dont get put against pugs so that i can play against some scrub premade (with great comp) that me and my pug only have about a 10% chance of actually beating?

And cross-server became a thing to increase population pools, which is great for low-pop servers. Still, it’s a simple fix to implement and will just let solo queuers have actual fun, while premades will still get their fill of honor because some people wont want to wait (and I can laugh because some premades will face more premades and force some measure of skill vs just slapping a good comp together and using discord to stomp pugs).

That’s the thing, BGs are NOT Solo Play. It requires Team Play. You utilize its function to be put into Team Play. If it was Solo Play, you wouldn’t need any other help (NPCs, PuG Players, Pre-made Players, or otherwise) to be put into BGs, in the first place. BGs REQUIRE more than just Solo Players to complete.

You’re not queing up to beat BGs Solo. You que up to be a Team with OTHERS. Completely defeats the purpose of “Solo Play”.

people play that mess?

Seriously the only Battlegrounds worth playing are AB and WSG, and its really that way on retail also. All the new battlegrounds are mostly bad, although twin peaks is alright.

I’d love an option to avoid premades. 5 bgs this morning in the 10-19 bracket all against premades. No fun at all.

Semantics. Fine, i will reword it to solo queue. Yes, it’s a team game, but since we are being pedantic, then there is also an option to join as a group, I.e., 5 players, and not a raid team.

Wording still does not change the spirit of my suggestion–make it an option to avoid premades. If I can join by myself, then let play with other solo queuers. If an ally pug stomps us, then fine, but at least we would have tried and the effort not be in vain.

You are arguing for the sake of arguing. Is an option to avoid premades a good idea: yes or no? If not, why? Besides a reason like prolonged wait times

Exactly my point, in my original post:

I am not. I’m making a point.

“Prolonged Wait Times” isn’t my concern. I did answer your question, already. It all circles back to my original statement:

Just admit you think stomping pugs is fun.

BG’s are teams of 10/15/40 they are not completed by solo players.

People who queue solo want to be matched with others who have done the same. Because those are actually interesting games.
