Looking for a new graphics card

Currently I have a work horse of an AMD RX 590.

I’m just upgrading my CPU/MOBO currently I have an AMD 2600X and B-450 Rox Strix and along with the RX 590 I have seen solid performance in the range of 90-100 FPS in cities and group content. Probably closer to 60-70 in raid content but I play with maxed out settings.

In a week I’m going to be picking up the AMD Ryzen 5900X and the Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Motherboard. Curious on thoughts out there based on cards you actually own.

I want something that will be one or two expansions proof for wow, without destroying the bank, but without buying something that will underperform either. Solid “middle ground” graphics card for the next 4 years like my RX 590 has done for me the past 4 years. I tend to upgrade almost like clock work every 4 years from the purchase dates.

I play on high end 1920x1080p curved monitor and have no intention to play on any resolutions higher than that.

Also just recently got myself the latest samsung evo pro m2 so im set for hdd.

Or do you think that with new amd CPU/MOBO that my current video card workhouse is plenty for wow going into dragonflight? I’ve read a lot of wow is more CPU oriented.

For WoW, every four years is 100% overkill.

If you can snag a current gen card, you’re set for a while.

Try to get a 3070ti or better, depending on how much you’re willing to spend.

It’s still kind of an awful period to get a gpu, scalpers are scum.

I’m running amd 6800xt. I don’t find having any issues and frankly it should hold for WoW for like years to come.

With what your building you’ll be fine as well. As for what others said every 4 years is bit much for just WoW. If you’re doing other newer games then that might be a little different

3060 ti if you don’t want to spend too much. If you run ray tracing you might want something a little stronger(3070), but the 3060 ti can ultra WoW @1080p with no problems.

Going by their current stuff I’m guessing they’re more leaning towards using AMD over Nvidia

If you can set an alarm on Thursday for AMD queue event and have time it’s one of the best options for the 6000 series. Might take a while but if you follow the instructions in some YouTube videos. It does work and you save a fortune… I gave in and bought an overpriced 3060 ti… But it’s darn good and EVGA to :).

Think I’m going with the amd rx 6600 xt found a great sale just ordered it.
