Lone wolf doesn’t mean i never use my pet! Don’t remove pls

Poor design choice by your logic. A design choice that’s been here since vanilla for everyone else.

Grow up. Open your eyes.

Pointing out how old something is… I mean you get that isn’t a sign it was well designed or thought out right?

I never saw any of those in Vanilla. I think youre fabricating.

People seem to fail to understand that MM has used a pet since day one of this game and later on was given an option to not use a pet.

Yeah that what a lot have been saying but praise this new version for the reason option is removed… but like it’s forced to have a pet. Like I feel if they made the pet choosable, and had a toggle for it to be at your side everyone would be happy.

It’s also fun that the entire spec is being overhauled around a singular node choice.

instead of fixing the problems caused by that node choice, they choose to make the spec the problem node choice instead.

Which, according to some others I’ve seen on this forum, seems to be the go to answer. “Its been petless since Legion.” - Wrong. It’s been a choice to go Petless since Legion. Its been a choice, this entire time for you to not have a pet.

not much of a choice…they made it the default “choice” for raiding…only a choice by definition

i dont really care what you think.
also i think your the one whose lying.

just swap bm when you want the pet that’s exactly what I do now anyway. it’s much more effective than using marks with a pet.

You could 100% not take the talent, and still raid.

Now, because the way this community is, would it be potentially harder to get into said raid… Maybe.

I really wish this game didn’t have the “requirement” but not “requirement” to be the meta to do anything above a certain level.

This is probably why I don’t bother doing that kind of stuff. I can make my spec how I want to be, play how I want to play, and not have to worry about someone being like “Omg. Why are you a MM hunter with a pet… Go respec or get lost.”

But because of this “Requirement” but not “Requirement” the MM Hunter is now forever loosing the access/option it has had for the past 20 years of having a pet the player tames. Meaning, for many players out there, they are 100% loosing a piece of their character if they want to remain MM. Which is absolutely a craptastic sandwich.

This kind of major rework should have been left for Midnight. Given plenty of time on a PTR, plenty of time for feedback… Not what is going to be this first major patch of TWW with a shortened PTR cycle. Not that they’re going to listen to the feedback anyways considering how far along they obviously already are in doing this massive overhaul

Please… don’t make up facts about raiding to now…

I dont play a lot of group content, if i cant kiil things before they get to me I am not a mm my pet lets me do that.

Have you tried kiting this expansion? Doesn’t work. Mobs leash at extremely short ranges beyond the point of engagement. It’s awful in all ways.

How’s it feel getting ratioed, by the way? Seems like a whole lot of people who play MM want to keep pet functionality, which puts you squarely in the minority.

Youre not even at level cap

It’s that or get gud…etc.
I don’t have time or energy for that.
Blizz isn’t even going to know how many of us are against this if we don’t speak out.

This change is so stupid.

They could’ve kept Lone Wolf, put all these new quality of life improvements into it, and left the option to use a pet for

…the people who have been using it to solo for twenty years.

Keeping the option of summoning a pet tank that you have been friends with forever while solo hurts literally nobody.

This year you will turn into Lego-less with Hawk-Tuah and you will like it.

2027 they’ll turn BM into an Evoker style short range healer that uses wands. Fantasical beasts, we’ll have found them.

I can’t even bring myself to be annoyed with them and their changes anymore.

How exactly is that the case? Afair, mages always took elemental because it had nova utility tied to it. Thats not really the same case here and it’s a different era. Not really the same thing. If it was just a pretty much class fantasy / visual option with similar damage and playstyle why does that break literally anything?.. And I don’t see how mage was even bricked or broken in any sense tbh.

The issues I see with pets for MM is they can still be used to kite mobs away letting players move past packs in mythic plus.

In PvP pet utility is shared across all secs meaning you have to always assume MM has roar and sacrifice going on their pet.

Making it a baked in summon like a water ele gives it a lot more options going forward for spells interactions.
