They look stupid but taking mogs on to the Shop has ended the game for me cause the one thing I did enjoy doing was hunting down the mog pieces but this has now made it fell less worth it now… I just unsubbed seeing the direction blizz is going GG all was fun… peace

I’m not a fan of the mog set, but I get it free. Just wanted to say I’m glad they’re doing this. MMO popularity is going down and I don’t want the game to stop. If some people decide to buy it, more power to them.
I’ll never understand how a cosmetic cash shop can bother people. I’ve tried. I can’t. There’s no logical justification for hating it. It benefits everyone in some way.
Yeah apples and oranges. Businesses close offices they no longer need everyday. I don’t see outrage for all those people.
Of course it affects the game. Cosmetic items are a major motivator in this game. When Blizzard starts selling higher quality items in the shop (like the fae dragon set, which features more 3d items instead of the usual painted textures), it devalues what you can get in the game itself. After all, why would they put the good stuff in as rewards for in game accomplishments when they can just put in the store and make tons of money from dumb whales who don’t realize that they’re making the game worse.
Just because you don’t see it personally doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Do you seriously think because you don’t personally see someone upset that layoffs don’t negatively effect people?

I’ll agree to disagree on your main point. I’ve played MANY MMOs in my life and cosmetic items like this is the basis for a majority of them.
Not everyone plays for 6 consecutive months. Some people take month to month breaks, so buying the mog independently from a sub works for them.
This just in, items that are higher value are higher quality. Shocker.
But, no see, by spending your pennies on this, Blizzard is going to use that money to hire goons to go to the house of every transmog hunter and break their fingers! They won’t be able to live any more because of this!
Or something like that.

They just included a mount a couple of months ago? I would think the people most upset would be those who like transmogs more than mounts!
