Isn’t it a better deal to get the 6-month sub since you get a discount on the sub and free mount? I think it’s good they don’t advertise to straight up waste $20.

We’ve had these things since WoTLK, and by extent, the Vanilla Collector’s Edition.

Actually, they are free. The price is for the sub.
I think the dislikes around fairy wings have to with them being stupid, not so much with them being free.

It’s the fact they feel the need to add silly little things likethis to get their players to sub for long term.
Even with 2 years free sub, I wouldn’t prepurchase 6 months.

They do openly advertise it. In the shop, it highlights you can get it free with a 6 month sub, but in the price, it says, “from $20.” 
Not to mention… the 6 month sub is cheaper than paying monthly and you get the transmog free, so… I fail to see the issue.
Me neither. The shop team is entirely separate from the dev team. But I guess that’s too hard for people to wrap their heads around.
