They look really strange and seem to have more to do with the witches of drustvar than the elements.
However, I would like my orc shaman to get a new totem that isn’t so messed up.
There’s a big risk of Blizzard screwing it up, but for my Ork I don’t think it can be worse than what they’re using.

True, lol. Just my hopes got kicked in the kidney after seeing the update. Though, as you put it, can’t get worse than what is already base, and Orc and Tauren do need love on their totem to not look and feel 480p Generic lol.

As someone who has played Shammy for years, I do not like the look of this new ascendant skin. It looks terrible and why does it have to be masculine? I am by no means a feminist but why would my female character look like a man and have a crazy Psycho look to her? No, thank you. It would be great if they could put a glyph in that we can change out our ascendant skin.
Looks more like something I’d summon up than a shammy

This is news to me which is probably because the current Ascendance forms are so hard to really… look at, lol.
But yeah I suppose my issue is really the vibrance of the Red in contrast to what many could be building as a Storm spec.

Just bring back the Ascendance glyph. This new form is so ugly.
Lightning builds for ele don’t even use Ascendance.

My wife just started leveling a resto shaman, and is genuinely upset because she doesn’t think she can play if this is the result.
The old form isn’t great, but looking like neon clowns isn’t the answer.
This looks soooo bad. Like why … Why? It doesn’t even look remotely shamanic, it looks like a left over monster asset from Shadowlands.
Also does blizzard not realize that basically no elemental shamans use ascendance?

Why does Ascendance still follow Twilight Hammer lore? Player shamans aren’t abusing the elements for power. Why can’t we have something Dathea-like, where our character and transmog is still relevant? Even the Skyfury buff looks like Dathea (and we still can’t play Night Elf shamans after Dragonflight!)

Yeah. They’re okay, but maybe an option to not have it be a form would be nice.
Why not just let you have that specific element surround you during ascendence? Like Wings/Avatar etc. but just more shaman-y
