On the one hand, Spherule drops are so rare that I can well understand someone looking at a toon sitting on 304 and not being willing to trade off to someone on a lower weapon rank getting a bit miffed.
On the other hand? Personal loot is personal.
So, Scrooging the spherule might seem dickish, but kicking over it? Group confirmed for Whaaaambulance drivers.
That depends upon your key mapping? I have auto loot enabled by default, so right clicking on the mob gives me all the loot. If I want to by pass that, there is a modifier key you can hold to disable it for that one looting.
I just wish there wasn’t as much need/dispute created over something that really shouldn’t be causing such issues between players.
I’m sorry to sound like one of them FF people, but I do wish we had something like the loot system there where you could pass on loot you didn’t need but in doing so would give you the opportunity to loot again. It has made targeting so much easier.
This comes down to the people you are running with.
If you are with people that are gearing/progressing then yea it’s rude to not trade gear you don’t need imo. If they removed you for trying to turn the run into a transmog run then it’s completely justified.
If you are on a transmog run then everyone knows people are keeping mog regardless.
This is something the group should clarify before the run begins. Every group should give out the rules, so that people can decide if they should stay or go.
Unless it was somehow established beforehand that this was a thing, I don’t think you should have to give up anything that you want for whatever reason.
While it would be nice that some random stranger who you will probably never see again gets an upgrade, it will probably never benefit you in the future, while a transmog is forever…
the way i see it, it’s their group and your loot. you have the right to keep things that aren’t upgrades for you and they have the right to kick you for it.
they at the very least aren’t crying on the forums about it.
If it doesn’t specify it’s a transmog run , then it’s for gear. It’s always been that way. OP could have also been upfront with their intentions as well.
Transmog/mount runs are generally for older seasons.
I have found that not to be the case. There have been plenty of groups who do not specify and they could be either or. Communication is important. But the op does not need to automatically tell the group they are going to collect gear upgrades and transmog. The group leader has to specify that the players must trade gear that are not upgrades.
I would have asked but respected the answer.
I had a dude get real pushy over a shield drop couple weeks ago, even after telling him I was keeping it as it had better stats than my current one plus it rolled with a speed bonus.
Yeah I still think it was a mistake broadcasting personal loot because people get rude.
But they want to show the loot so that the conspiracy nuts can see that yes loot is in fact dropping from bosses correctly or something I guess? Maybe for the dopamine rollercoaster?
had a tank pull this infant joke in a leveling dungeon a long while back. lmao.
tosses up trade screen and demands it. I closed it and let him know I’ll be keeping it.
He opens the trade up again. I closed it again and boom…Im back out in the real world.
Had he asked nicely Id probably have let him have it.
Get pushy and one of my fingers is all one is going to get
If the kick went down as described, that alone qualifies as a whine.
Edit: Six of one, half a dozen of another though.
I’m not keen on keeping transmogs when an upgrade for someone is possible. All about good manners. Someone hitting good it better than me looking good.
