Downgrade your own key and run with these people. Do one dugeon that’s the highest m+ and the rest ruin +2. I will group with you on my poorly gear mage or or rouge

This is what I did and it works amazing, groups fill so fast and you get whatever choice you want.
I’d get a +65 player first, then immediately fill the group with 3 players above 2000 rating. Ideally with the same armor type as the low rated player so they’d get more chances of drops. Feels good to watch the carried player get mad loot lol.

Yeah, it’s stupid. I will personally just be running 16+ and taking what valor I get from it.
I was unware valor would even uncap so I’ve been hoarding a lot of my valor, pretty much got everything upgraded to 415 outside my chest but I’m not in a rush. I’ll jsut keep doing CoS and pray for a Whetstone.

On me, I need something to kill after I kill KSM. Do you think I would be invited right away with the Big Boys on Heroic without Normal Raid Boss Kills even if I am KSM?

Just always keep valor uncapped and remove the bonus valor system? Start at 50 baseline and add 10 per key level?
The whole system of gating valor behind a grind wall that is already gated by rating is obnoxious to begin with.
No you actually get declined. I spammed NO on Tuesday on my Paladin to try to get the Granyth trinket and got declined (message and everything) for quite a few. I’m almost 400 IL and like 1900 IO. I also know it was a real decline because I see the same group still in the finder for 2-3 minutes after as I sign up for every other 2-3 NO (bolstering just adds time for next to no gain and also increases the odds of having actual low geared characters).
Anyone actually being smart with their keys just drops their key down to the lowest they haven’t done. It’s by far the easiest way to gear an alt as you get like 13 minute keys and get hard carried and funneled random pieces of gear since you can shamelessly armor stack the valor farmers.
If someone took this long for the raid to be irrelevant to them on normal/heroic without uncapped valor, they aren’t going to be doing the key levels required to make the content irrelevant to them by the 2nd week of the tier under an uncapped system.
You can do a Halls 2 in about 13 minutes. If you do a Halls 20, you are most likely brushing VERY close to that timer which means it takes almost three times as long.
If you are digging for a Horn of Valor it is way more time efficient to do almost 3 HoV in that time frame and spend like 5000 valor (which you probably get running the dungeon ad nauseum) upgrading it.
I haven’t really had issues with that. The bigger issue is Shadow Crash CD. DA+Shadow Crash+DP into Torrent/Mind Blast procs (with the cleave Bender) gives you a very high burst profile if you aren’t in a group with like double MM Hunter.
If anything you shred the bosses which are usually a bigger time waster. Can’t REALLY complain if trash is dying so fast you can’t touch it.

Not really applicable here since the whole point is to have someone in the group with a close to 0 IO. Also, dropping your own key like 17 times down to +2 and then vetting for a fresh character every single run isn’t worth the hassle.

Give me a target that doesn’t want to die, my damage is very good… but if things keel over too fast, I’ll be behind the tank except 1 pull every 30 seconds. lol
Oh I know, it is far from ideal, but it is SIGNIFICANTLY better than in the past. Also, in the farm runs, as long as the tank isn’t the “carry” the group should be triple or quadruple pulling anyway so the 30 second timer is “fine”.
I wanted to farm some valor and I usually tank most of my keys but then I was like well ill just dps some so i don’t really want to pay attention and in 2 hours I was able to get in 0 +2 keys as dps. I am a 410 paladin also. Can’t even get in a +2 at 410 great game we got here.
Start your own key at +2, advertise as +65 valor farm, invite someone that gets rating increase from a +2 first, fill with 2500 rated players.
If people can’t be bothered to take 2 minutes to do this for every key, since a +2 turns into a +5 at most… They don’t deserve efficient valor or don’t know the way.
just ding my hunter last night. Jump into M+ as 250ilvl and now has 350ilvl. 100 lvl gain in 1 night and didnt even need to buy anything. I love this bubble and taking advantage of it while it last.
Legion didn’t have Valor.
Neither did BfA.
Shadowlands reintroduced Valor for M+, quite a bit after launch too. To be exact : patch 9.0.5 launched March 2021 introduced valor into the M+ gearing scheme.

Yes, people will absolutely invite you to fresh Heroic runs with roughly KSM ilvl (411 cap, so let’s assume ~405 overall). You don’t really need Normal progression to get those invites, and start working Heroic kills up.
