Just wondering why I logged into my alt to find I’ve been penalized for leaving a dungeon early even though I never actually ran a dungeon on it.
Were you penalized just before the last time you logged off? If I remember right, deserter timers on a character don’t run down while you’re logged off of that character.
They definitely do count down while logged off. Many times when I’ve received the deserter debuff on a character, I’ll log over to a different one to wait out the countdown.
Hrm. Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been kicked early enough in a dungeon to get the debuff in the first place. Guess I’m just remembering things wrong.
I only know from farming island expedition mounts; if I’m looking for a specific island and don’t get it, I’ll leave the group (giving me the debuff), and then I’ll log over to another character to try again.
