Locked out of Herod, but I have characters on there

So Im locked out of Herod and I wanted to make some horde toons on that server, but I already have alliance toons on there, so when I try to delete those alliance toons to make horde ones, the server locks me out and tells me I cant make any toons on a locked server

Luckily I was able to restore one of the alliance toons I deleted and I was able to remake the other ones to keep the Character names saved.

I wish blizzard would fix this little issue and tweak how the mechanics of the locked servers work. I already have toons on Herod, just not the faction I want to play as. So why cant I just delete those toons and make the ones I want to play? I’m unable to delete them and create Horde characters because I get locked out.
So when is this server lock nonsense going to stop?

Sounds like it’s working as intended…they locked the server bud. You can’t just all of a sudden faction swap just because…there’s already too many horde players.

When people stop trying to pile onto certain servers to the point were they get queues and become a pain in the butt to play on.
