Sylvanas opened a gate between the veil of life and death. We’re traveling into the afterlife itself, a parallel dimension to Azeroth. Spooky things are coming, we need to beat them down and steal their loot.

Its a different realm than Azeroth. We go there when we die and if you’re a DK you obtained your horse from there.

I understand what the Shadowlands are in the lore up until this point. I just don’t understand how you can base an entire expansion on it. Black and white, whispering voices, etc. Can’t make zones like that.

I have CE and AOTC from the last five raids on my retail toon and I still play retail because I enjoy MD/Raiding. But talk more out your butt.

Whats ridiculous is how quickly Sylvanis just disposes of the LK when it took horde and alliance 2 yrs to take him down. She does it in under a minute

Shadowlands appears to be multiple afterlives, a Gothic blood one.
Aneglic Heaven one.
A Forest of Dryads one.
And some kind of Scourge one.

When we die or venture into it briefly from quests my guess is we’re only seeing a glimpse of it, just an alternate realm of what Azeroth is - black and white, whispers etc.
Maybe the zones are like pocket dimensions of where each thing on Azeroth goes instead of one big huge afterlife party
I don’t have a pass to watch so that’s why I’m asking.
Anyway if that’s true then I guess the reddit leaks talking about exactly that was right.
That for me was actually the least believable part of it. Sylvanas, dispatches the damn Lich King and nearly all his minions.
