If you’re looking for a game that you can just jump in and play without any commitment, you’ll have to look outisde of the MMORPG genre.
these responses just show how toxic the community of wow is lmao everything the author of the post was very on point. You forum “get gud” players are the absolute worst and a huge problem w wow.

Nobody has even said anything approaching “get gud”.
MMOs are not a “hop in and play” type of game. Get over it and find something else if that’s what you’re after.

Only part I agree with is the chores, to a degree. I agree that a completely new person couldn’t just “start playing” without doing a ton of stuff. Imo, they should just give you a leggo to start or at least the resources to do so. You’ll be farming plenty more to make others. And just give you a crap tier 180 ilvl unity when you get renown to 48+. Campaign gives you 265 version, and revered lest you craft any 291. That’d be a fine system that doesn’t really screw anyone else’s progress.
Most of us only want the last boss in each wing currently because they are the only ones to drop tier pieces. Should have stayed
i agree with lfr part. only reason i was trying to do the whole thing was the rep it gives since blizz wants to gate you so much. i came back last week got last boss three times in a row then logged least get rid of the 30min debuff they could just ask if you wanna join you click yes or no pretty simple to do.
Newer to WoW, more like since Legion but worse every xpac.

Welcome to WoW? This is how its always been. You don’t return and just enter new raid. You need to do stuff to catch up.

Meh. Simple armory has achievements gained showing in February. Looks like they basically just took a month off. You haven’t been gone very long. I don’t know what you were expecting but you are going to have to put in a little work in to catch up. Everything won’t simply be handed to you.
None that were particularly required for you to get around and do stuff. Especially Wrath-WoD. Could generally just jump into content you wanted to do and just be a bit undergeared.
Wow, a major update came out and I didn’t immediately get everything? Bad game.
(Also, you don’t still have to make a legendary starting at 180; ZM gives you a free legendary belt.)

Assumes they can just walk into the last raid of the xpac without issue. LFR doesn’t count. As you noted, you got in despite your gear, no? Your problem was that you joined a partially finished run. Oh no. The horror.

Waiting in queue for ages, only to put into a partial run meaning you’ll have to sit in a queue yet again is a valid complaint. As is the debuff for leaving.
