As someone who has AoTC from joining a guild and getting carried then not being able to find a stable raiding guild there after I don’t know how’d you’d get it done on a pug run

Blizzard put in that system back in MoP where it required people to get at least Bronze for their role they played in order to do dungeons and they did away with that because of how many people hated being gated behind that feature, but it was there to show that you knew how mechanics work and that your DPS or healing was going to be well enough to clear the content.

Yep, I loved this system. But yanno the ppl who couldn’t get it down or felt for whatever other reason it was unfair, and a form of “Gatekeeping” as that word has been tossed about in this thread hillariously - Blizz had to remove it to appease the ppl…sucked b/c it really was a good way to work on yourself/your character to get better - at least better in the sense you could hold your own in the dungeons.

They don’t want to do that. The OP has zero kills in the raid on any difficulty (they mythic+ only) and the hunter barely has any H kills either. They have effectively zero experience of the raid as a whole (none of n’zoth) and expect to get into a AOTC farm group without AOTC. You see they ‘jobs’ and ‘lives’ that only us unwashed people can dream of having.

I am much like you, I can’t just stroll into a week 1 AOTC pug, i’m not good enough. You clear normal and get 2-3H kills in week 1. Then half a clear week 2. Get stuck on the last 1-2 bosses for a few weeks then get lucky with a good group that is still progressing.

How arrogant do you people have to be to think we owe you our time? Its 2 months into the tier. You guys have no experience on heroic and you waltz in like you should just be able to join a nzoth group full of players who have cleared the raid many times over and spent 50+ hours in the place perfecting their role. You’re a bunch of snakes that sit back while pugers are progressing and want to come in after people have it on farm and get a quick kill for the mount and achieve.

If you hate us so much and think we are unwashed no lifers why do you even want to play with us? Why don’t you go start a group and invite only people with ‘jobs, families and a life’ and see how far you get. Bunch of snakes.

“Link aotc” groups are one of two things:

1. Raid leader has already done this raid and expects the rest of raid to also know it to avoid wipes to clear raid as quickly as possible. This is a good thing. People who havent done the fights and still need to learn them should either join learning groups or progress the raid with their own guild instead. Often these groups are made by raiders who cant make their guilds scheduled heroic time or their guild has stopped doing heroic to progress mythic.
2. People trying to get a free carry. This is not a good thing.

Either way theres no issue with people making these kinds of groups. If you have an issue with it because you dont have aotc, you can always prog the raid with a learning group or your guild like most with aotc do instead of complaining on the forums.

What I have said multiple times is that its incredibly easy to spot people “working around” the aotc link.

People like you find it easy. But not so skilled people can supposedly be tricked by that stuff.

I took a look at OPs armory. I think he is trolling everyone here on the forum.

There is no possible way that OP believes that you can get banned from buying a self play carry with gold. That has been going on for ever since OP has been around so he would know that 100%.

And yet he claims to be looking at getting into raiding? Players looking at getting into raiding, NEVER start by buying an AOTC. I have never seen it before.

That is buying a carry in which you do zero work and learn nothing of raid mechanics. 99% of the time, you are told to tag the boss and sit back. So buying AoTC is not how someone starts raiding.

Just take one look at his armory and you will find that OP is not nearly as clueless as he is pretending to be. The guy is sitting in a maxed out cloak in full mythic gear.

He is an arms warrior with over 500k HP and maxed out gems and enchants. This guy knows what is going on. There is no way shape or form that he is as clueless as he is acting. Dont fall for it.

He has gotten a BUNCH of AOTC so there is no way that he does not know how.

You are looking at a skilled knowledgeable player who knows exactly 100% of everything that he is pretending not to know.

Pugs are just that, pugs. They will operate on whatever priority the creator of the group sets, and have no obligation to allow anyone in.

I understand the frustration of not being able to get into a raid group but you can’t just throw out logic from your thinking.

Agree, raids are private events by invite only. They are not public facilities like restaurants that have to serve all comers. That is what lfr is for, when you dine with the commoners.

Gotta work your way up in heroic 1 boss at a time, I did this to get aotc for g’huun and it was a nightmare because literally nobody will take you for h ghuun if you had no aotc, eventually you have to find a group that either doesn’t check, you can lie, or, its getting late and they need a quick dps plug and you are that quick dps. Better be ready for that too, if you crap the bed and look awful they will kick you.

pugs that check everyones gear and achievements and kick people with stuff like no enchants do usually end up better anyways /shrug
I used to lead normal / heroic pugs in Wrath , and if you didn’t have the right enchant for your specialization, like say , not using the right spell power enchant or a healer not using the healer enchant, I woudnt invite you. Worked 75% + of the time.
