Lightbound Undead

I honestly don’t think this is a lot more than an April Fool’s joke, its something that I actually believed was going to happen, as it made sense given the whole Calia thing?

Or is this Blizzard’s way of telling us no it’s not going to happen? They told us there was no secret cow level for years, but there soon was one.

I could be wrong but I don’t think Blizz has much input on Wowhead’s jokes.

LF UD threads makes me appreciate High Elf threads.

Please no, take Calia and stuff her in a reinforced safe and launch it into the void

forget it was ever a thing

I feel like they’re being spammed now. They should make a single megathread and stay there like the rest of us talking about ARs. I’ll say my piece about not wanting them and then mute it, like people do with mine.

Well I think Lightbound Undead should have a place in the game, as we have a subrace of most races, just no subraces of undead yet.

I entirely disagree and hope to never see them added, personally. I gave my reasoning in another thread. Might as well copy-paste it here.

Take it as you will. These are just my opinions, anyway, and you can feel free to have yours, but mine isn’t going to change.

I wouldn’t mind having the undead return to the alliance.

Okay, it’s time to create a “lightforged undead mega-thread” and see how many posts we can get on it. Who’s with me!?

Lightbound undead suck. Lightforged undead suck. Calia sucks.

No.

If they ever make LF undead of any kind playable I will devote all of my time ganking and griefing anyone dumb enough to play one.

In my humble opinion, Lightbound Undead should never have been a thing. The Light positively effecting the Undead should never have happened.

They announced Pandaren as an April Fool’s joke at one point in the past before allowing us to play as the best race on Azeroth in actuality.

Just something to consider!

Sounds like an awful idea. The light is supposed to have a negative effect on the undead as they’re kind of on opposite ends of the spectrum. I’d prefer if it stayed that way and we didn’t go smashing anymore lore than we already have.

I’m truly curious, do you feel as passionately about void elves?

I agree, but undead holy priests exist.

To be honest, does anyone really feel passionately about void elves?:stuck_out_tongue:

That isn’t the same. Lorewise there are very few priests who can actually wield the light, as it causes them extreme pain. Only a secret few of great willpower can. To be lightforged it is implied that they are infused with the light, in a similar way to how a paladin embodies the light, which would just end up destroying the undead or causing them untold, crippling agony to the point of where they’d wish they were dead again.

I see the distinction, but it feels like you are splitting hairs. Lightforged undead could be that special few with the amazing willpower you mention. Like how good elves are special in that they can have the void without being consumed by it

P.S. I agree that lightforged undead would be dumb and lazy.

If there is any good in the universe, it is merely blizzard’s way of telling us no, it’s not going to happen.
