Lightbound Undead was actually a cool idea

Not disagreeing with your stance on Lightbound Undead…but this is kinda the state the Lore has been since I’d say Cataclysm.

Not gonna bash you for wanting them, but for my personal preferences I really don’t want them

I think Lightbound Undead are pretty stupid in terms of lore. The whole “Light necromancy”, “Yeah we said the Light hurts the Undead but now it doesn’t” stuff is just stupid.

That said, it’d be more interesting than Lightbound Draenei.

Not to be that guy, but most things are more interesting than LF Draenei.

Draenei are already blessed by the Light and the Naaru. Lightbound/Lightforged are the Draenei equivalent of the McDouble. An extra patty, but its the same thing fundamentally. I kinda want to know what the meeting went that lead to their creation. “They are like Draenei…but instead of being blessed by the Light…they are like…Super Blessed by the Light.”

This is my favorite analogy, thank you.

While people haven’t specifically asking for the model, the alliance did ask for both skin KT and LF undead. So yeah i take it as a yes.

Having the same model on the other side is not a good idea, so you won’t see that.

Void elves are different looking enough from Blood Elves, due to their voidiness.

Also, Lightforged undead are a redundancy joke; There was no reason to have Lightforged Draenei, they were a waste of an additional race (which looked nearly exactly like the existing one.) So it is a joke, on top of a joke.

Fully new, different races would be way better.

void elv… um fire dwarrr… hrm.

Modern players want to play the race they want on the faction they want, uniqueness be darned. The introduction of void elves and nightborne as playable races opened the floodgates for people on both sides asking for carbon copies of the other side’s races. I’ve seen Alliance wanting Mag’har, holy orcs, holy undead, tauren, taunka, yaungol, dark trolls (who are extinct, mind you), Steamwheedle goblins, and vulpera (not actually a Horde race, but Alliance players ask for them because they know Horde players want them), and I’ve seen Horde wanting humans, undead who are reskinned humans, Dark Iron dwarves, Wildhammer dwarves, leper gnomes, and eredar. I’ve mentioned before that the void elf/nightborne swap only worked because both factions already have elves, so it wasn’t taking a bat to faction identity like all of those other races.

Obviously, some of these requests aren’t genuine. Sometimes they’re sarcastic, trolling, or out of spite for the other faction, like:

what race of the alliance youw ant to go horde with the trade?

cause im pretty sure alliance is mature enogh top share toys and not just take it

Seriously, its a bad idea, we need to stop blurring and derailing the factions with every race available to the another because people can’t just play the other damn faction.

A lot of their april fools jokes end up coming true. I remember reading the Black Temple attunement quest they posted, and when it came out, you had to do most of what was on the joke list.

No you don’t get undead paladins… and no it wasn’t a cool idea.

The human model should go horde and be undead like Nathanos’ and Derek’s model.

Blizzard already opened Pandora’s box with Void Elves and the Nightborne so it doesn’t make sense that they should stop now.

Who can say? What if we get the San’layn at the same time? Its not like we dont already share blue elves and pandas.

Yeah, no. I’m tired of the horde and the alliance swapping races. The horde is the horde the alliance is the alliance.

Stop making one of each races a different color, swapping it, and calling it something new. One of Blizzard’s core values has always been to make each faction easily distinguishable and their armor to be easily distinguishable (hence no x-transmogging for armor types)

this is not the same thing, the humans will not be living humans, but dead ones without white/clean skin color, however you want the exact same living elf with the exact same colors but with a different eye color

there is totally sense to that they should stop now

when you do something bad you stop doing, you do not keep going making things even worse

Living Elf? I suggest you actually read the OP and some of the posts in this thread, because you clearly don’t know what we’re talking about.

Void Elves are by far the most successful allied race. It’s a sure sign that Blizzard should continue in the same direction.

Christie Golden would be happy till she has completely corrupted every single Horde race just so her self insert Anduin is the King of all

We already have monsters, they’re called humans.
