Light Undead -- Alliance Allied Race

That was 20 years ago and right off the heels of Arthas and his Scourge.

Also, it was Anduin who attempted to bring living families back together with their Forsaken relatives. It was working until Sylvanas spazzed out and killed her own civilians for fear of giving the Forsaken hope that they can find happiness.

For those saying it’d be hard to make more, I admittedly do have a counter argument.
Caelia is probably a strong Light user herself, her helping would probably make it easier, and you could probably ask other strong light wielders to get in on it now that they kow it’s possible.

How about Alliance get Redeemed if you get San’layn? :stuck_out_tongue: lol

I wouldn’t be able to argue against that–but only if undead lore remains sound! That’s my biggest gripe. I like having a variety of characters rather than typical baseline good and evil. If they can pull it off, yes.

One way they could do it is that the Light Undead are just their old selves but perhaps a bit more jovial and hyper to contrast the regular undeads being a bit more depressed and sluggish

I can see this. If they make it so that even if you don’t go through the ritual, you still are free to be as you are And as a result not just labeled as “evil”, a light version of necromancy can work.

Itd just be another form of resurrection then and that’d be ok, my major concern is the “holier than thou” and if that’s not there, that’s fine. I know Blizz has been pushing the “light isn’t perfect” narrative so I shouldn’t be so concerned.

Blizzard has zero idea about their own lore. If Calia Menethil doesn’t end up as the leader of Lordaeron, it’s such a shame. Who cares what Forsaken players want? You picked Forsaken and they have lore. Why should lore be broken so easily?

The last king of Lordaeron, Terenas II, was beloved by the citizens. While the plague spread, he didn’t abandon his people like the other members of the Lordaeron alliance wanted.

Sylvanas even tells new forsaken players about the how they still love Lordaeron. There is a small plaque that talks about the king in the Undercity. They love their king.

In the BtS novel, several Forsaken noticed Calia and referred to her as “your majesty”. That is only for monarchs. Which Calia is. She is the true queen of Lordaeron and several Forsaken know this. Sylvanas knew this when she killed her.

The Knights of the Silver hand know this. The entire organization was formed to literally defend Lordaeron and the Menethil family. Every single human paladin in the Knights of the Silver hand swore and oath when becoming a Knight and that included defending Lordaeron, it’s people and most importantly, the Menethils.

Turalyon is a noble and former commander of Lordaeron’s forces. He swore an oath to defend Lordaeron, it’s people and the Menethil family. He just came back in Legion. He now has a massive army that he commands. But… BUT. He still bends a knee to Calia. She is still his queen.

Calia Menethil is the greatest problem that Blizzard has ever given us. She is the most complex lore character in the game and possibly entire series at this point. Why? Because she is a paradox. Her people are Horde. Her allies are alliance. What the hell is she going to do?

Blizzard has a chance to actually write good story. A complex story. Calia goes horde and there will be an absolute crap storm that follows.

And we’re not even at the speculation theories or Taelia being the daughter of Bolvar and Calia.

Just imagine if Calia goes Horde and is the new leader of the Forsaken. Taelia turns out to be her daughter and gets married to Anduin. Now the Queen of Stormwind is the heir to Lordaeron’s throne.

This is good story. This is better then Garrosh 2.0 with Sylvanas being a batman villain. But being such, it won’t get written since we need to take the easy way out and make Calia alliance.

…Or DO we have to make her Alliance?

While i would perfer the Alliance to have a Humanoid unrotted undead like Derek, I still would Drop my alliance brethren to play the race if it drops instead on the Horde side.
