Light Aggression?

Look, let’s be real.

The writing for Xe’ra and the Lightbound has been ripped apart plenty of times already — and I’ve been one of the harshest critics of that garbage since BfA was still current. It was stupid writing then, and it’s still stupid now.

This whole “too much of a good thing” Light narrative? It’s a lazy, forced retcon the Cosby Suite crew shoved into the game before they finally got the boot. Even after the writers bent over backwards trying to paint the Light as shady and problematic for their little relativism fetish, it still looks like a Sunday school choir next to the Void and its agents.

Xe’ra had nothing on the Old Gods, Xal’atath, Deathwing, or Dimensius.

The Lightbound were boy scouts compared to the Black Empire.

We’ve had thread after thread calling out how sloppy and full of plot holes that entire arc was — and yeah, I wrote several of them myself.

And let’s not pretend their opponents were innocent: Illidan was always a loose-cannon edgelord running a cult of personality. Half the orcs on AU Draenor were the same Iron Horde bastards who tried to genocide the AU Draenei first.

At worst? What goes around, comes around.
