LFR "need" rolls

People seem to dislike that higher ilvl folks than themselves are rolling need on gear. I get it. So i’ve come up with the perfect solution.

Gear gets handed to those who contribute more.

Highest DPS
Highest HPS
Most damage mitigated

I mean, those who do more DPS were that much more of the reason you killed the boss and loot dropped. Only makes sense right?

Let’s see a full 25 man group of ilvl 424 folks clear LFR wings…kinda hard with with 15k DPS and die so i can afk to loot eh? Why can’t the people who are doing 100k+ dps roll on the loot. They did more to down the boss than most others.

No dumb idea, it is LFR

So basically, you want to make an already somewhat controversial situation worse? This is not the solution.

There is nothing to solve.

Anyone eligible to roll need should be expected to roll need.

Yup. Or at least show people the folly of their ways with “because i’m lower ilvl i’m entitled to loot”

You notice they’re not suddenly springing up with how they “deserve” the gear all of a sudden

No, you’ve come up with a completely moronic idea.

It’s LFR, it ain’t that deep.

Yall seem to be missing the very hard and emphasized /s in all of this

Just separate Tmog and need into two rolls.

Person who wins need gets the item and the Tmog.
Person who wins Tmog gets the Tmog.

Sure plenty people will still roll need when they don’t need the item for an upgrade (they need the money or the disenchant) but at least it makes rolling for tmogs easier. Lol

This idea is terrible as some folk run to gear up to run normal and due to their low gear their dps may suck compared to folk coming into the raid with stuff from heroic or mythic and just slaughtering things. Better idea is anyone who is need rolling on a downgrade has their need roll turned into a transmog roll as you know they’re only after skins at that rate. This way people who truly need the item have a chance to get it

Y’all completely missing the obvious sarcasm in OP’s post clearly haven’t seen the “Bring back PL!” threads that have been getting so much traffic lately.

bleeds everywhere in brewmaster

I don’t have anything else to contribute to this thread but I feel personally attacked because I choose to play a spec that takes as much damage as possible but spread out enough so that healers are tricked into keeping me alive because they think my monk cares about how much damage he takes and doesn’t just have a drinking problem.

Also, if I could win at least one item in lfr or normal I would be happy.

This idea isnt meant to be taken literally. Im telling the entitled people who compalin about other people who helped kill the boss getting gear instead of them, to sit down and be quiet (aame for the bring back personal loot because i clearly not sure how it works crowd)

Hey now! Your brewd do just make damage…disappear lol

Damage taken: 2.8million
Healing received: 1.5million
Overall health pool: 97%

Lol

Show me the /s in there.

Alternatively, you’re just like a former president who says nonsense and then says “I was just kidding!”

Technically, afk’ers mitigate the most damage, so they should get extra rolls.

The entire post?

Of course this isnt a serious idea. Again im calling out the “entitled to gear” folks.

I have always been part of the “if you helped kill tbe boss, you have equal rights to loot regardless of ilvl crowd”.

Ok, orange clown former President.

“I was just kidding! It was a joke! You shouldn’t take that seriously!”

They were obviously being sarcastic in response to the threads on the subject of Personal Loot and the loot system in general- threads the OP has participated in.

It may not have been obvious to you, but that doesn’t mean you can accuse them of being disingenuous because you didn’t have the whole picture.

Well, you can. But it doesn’t make you correct.

You’ll notice the post right before yours i clarify the purpose of the post…but yes, please continue taking everything you read on the internet as true and sincere

The perfect solution is quite simple:

“Obtaining an appearance from a piece of gear will also unlock all appearances for the same piece of gear from lower difficulties.”

Eliminates people doing LFR or whatever for transmog, AND gives a much-needed perk for doing more difficult content.

Everyone wins.
