So just looking at a random LFR log,

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Br91mQAT7wjykKXt?fight=last&type=damage-done

I think the reason why is people do not realize they should cast a spell every second, or global. Most have about 30 casts per minute, which means that if people were pressing their spells faster, they would do about twice as much damage and the boss would die twice as fast.

I was actually surprised how easy they made it considering it drops a mount.

In DF they made LFR work a lot harder for the mount appearance, at least in the first season.

Rasz in the first weeks sometimes got near 20 determination stacks before some groups could do it.

I just didn’t understand that, doing the trash mob is faster than attempting to skip with 99% of pug LFR groups.

Only fought him once and a lot of others admitted to being first timers too. The bombs were destroying us - got up to 8 determination. For me, I’ll admit I did not know what to do for the first one, and the second I could not get to the drop off spot w/o getting killed, so I took one for the team and jumped over the side. Once we got past that it was smooth sailing, of course all those stacks of determination might have come into play.

your joking right? LFR gally dies quick

To be blunt, there’s no reason for a 606 ilvl player to be in there. Veteran starts at 623, and the drops are 632 veteran from him, if I remember right. At the absolute minimum it should probably be 619.

Really isn’t that bad.
1: Don’t stand in AOEs
2: If bomb on you get out of group
3: If line on you don’t move just let others move because they already will
4: If range get on adds until they are down .
5: Finally most important of all " DON’T TUNNEL VISION BOSS" beware of surroundings.

Okay.

so?

Our first Heroic kill was a little over 8 minutes, and that was with a coordinated group.

I wish that were the case, wasted at least 15 min on that mob. Why are people so adamant on skipping that mob in lfr?

Or
the players in it just aren’t good enough? I mean that’s always the most obvious option

As far as boss health goes it’s really not that bad. I can think of at least 3-4 different end of raid bosses that had far more health and were far more of a pain to fight with random people in LFR. He’s pretty easy all around, to be honest. Not every boss needs to melt like Sarkareth did in the first week of LFR. I remember my first kill for him and was left thinking “Wait, was that really it?”

You never did the sylvanus or the raszagath fight did you?

Very rarely is LFR ever completely full of minimally geared players. They should also be doing more than 500k at 606.

This is part of why vote kick was implemented.

But also, this means that when the heroic/mythic geared raiders/M+ers show up to carry the run, maybe don’t complain on the forums if the need on loot?
