No. A lot of the nostalgia for people is the amount of time it took to forming groups without LFR. If they add it, they will receive a TON of backlash. It wont happen.

As long as there is no Cross Realm, LFG would be an absolute success

LFD/LFR are among the last things Blizzard would ever consider adding to Classic. They are among the most-widely cited reasons people have for wanting to play Vanilla WoW again. They're as unlikely to be added as flying mounts are, and flying mounts are literally incompatible with vanilla Azeroth.

I just don't see LFR/LFG as a good fit for Classic WoW. Despite the differences in what a lot of people want, I do see a lot of agreement on the idea that Classic WoW should involve more interactions between players and less anonymity and LFR/LFG seems to move people away from that.

Was there ever a dedicated LFG chat channel? I seem to remember something like that a long time ago before they put the current system in.

It was added in TBC and removed when the LFG interface was added

Why would everyone I know be 5 or 6 people but everyone you know would be only 10 or 12 people? You win against the guy who said it was 'all' people. You lose though because It is a fact that most people think LFR was a mistake. :)

By the end of the game, I remember people still had trouble with pug MC runs. There was some slim potential with pug ZG and pug AQ20 from what I recall, but for the most part, this feature would be totally useless.

I still don't want it even so.

LFR is optional, the only difference that u dont need to spam "need a tank" "need a tank" and spending 5mins to fly at Raid Entrance.

And ofc no need to use LFR if u have Raiding Guild.

An absolute shame it would be. Well it would be a game killer too because the vanilla crowd would not pay to play with that garbage being used. Current players dont seem to understand there are other options out there for vanilla wow, and in order for blizzard to take that entire market they will be offering a true vanilla experience with the safety of a blizzard server. Lfr will NEVER happen.

Even Stratholme could be raided at one point with like 15 people or more, of course you had to leave group to get quests done, like the Great Fras Siabi, and then rejoin.

As long as Blizzard doesn't choose the TBC Mechanics version of Classic for its servers, I think we'll be alright. If my guild decides to reform, I will be back. As fantastic as Classic WoW was, a massive percentage was the people that made it fun.

Seeing people and knowing what they're wearing is much more RPG than the physical gear meaning nothing.

You're thinking RPG in terms of pretending you're something. That's the RPG you do in real life in your mind. The world of warcraft already exists and is "real". In WoW you are something. You can't pretend to be level 60 if you're 30. You can't pretend to be alternate specs or races. And you shouldn't be able to wear trash gear while really wearing the best gear and vice versa.


You fail at knowing what transmog does, I couldn't have a lv 60 item on a 30 to begin with because of level restrictions on the item. I think you fail to realize what RPG means. I want my character to look like say a foot soldier as a warrior, sweet. If you really care about some end game loots appearance that much, you don't have to use it! This is totally optional. You can show off the gear you got, but some don't. If you think gear made a player in vanilla, you are sadly mistaken. And you are the people that got us into this mess in the first place.

Nope, no LFR.

If you were a douche in Vanilla everyone found out, and your progression stopped.

Your LFG/LFR was being able to make friends, and be a decent human being. I remember my guild always jumped at the chance to go back and help catch our more casual players up too.

Every time you paid for a new expansion devoid of depth, every time you paid for another month of subscription was telling Blizzard "You're doing great! Keep up the good work!"

There was plenty of people who were pushing back on the casualification of WoW, but guess what? They were ignored. Repeatedly. At some point the game people enjoyed playing was gone, and there was no reason for them to keep paying money for a game they didn't like.

Blizzard wants those subscriptions back, plain and simple. You did nothing to make Classic servers a reality. People's enthusiasm for Vanilla did. That those pirate servers existed was basically a big sign saying "Yes we still want to play the original, and we still like playing it." The backlash from them being shut down was another huge loud and clear message of "We want to play Vanilla."

When Blizzard made that thread that stayed up for about a year in regards to talking about Vanilla and Classic servers, it was full of nothing but retail players spitting on people who wanted it. They did nothing to make Classic servers a reality, they were actively pushing against it.

And now that it's actually going to be a thing, these retail players want to change Classic into retail WoW but with even less content. If you like the QoL stuff, then stick with retail and lock your character at level 60 and spare the rest of us the whining and complaining about how Vanilla needs changes to make it more acceptable for playing.

I never said, you had to pay and continue playing blizzard game to have a continued voice. All I said is, you shouldn't have went to a pirate server, and being a bitter person.
