This “social aspect of the game” nonsense is just comical. I legit think this ppl play a different version of classic than I do.
Furthermore, this ppl have no idea what “effort” means. Instead of applying the word to something that if repeated it teaches you something, they simply think that sitting on your chair pressing control v for an hour is rewarding. The problem, you see, most probably, none of this ppl need anything from dungeon and dont experience the only thing good this game has to offer: pve.

“No-changes” was and always will be a trash philosophy that was created with the intention of severely hampering Classic’s success. Most of the “No-changers” have quit the game, this much is obvious.
Almost always it’s someone hiding on an alt using this type of “insult.” Nice store pet you’ve got there, nice retail mounts you’ve got there.

When you find a pug with quality players, do you get to know them? Add them to your Bnet list?
I have and it’s been much easier to get a group together.

Amusingly though, it’s #nochanges… except changes that benefit #nochangers.
A change was actually made to the game to inhibit the development of mods that would create LFG style functionality. This functionality existed in Vanilla, which is when I first discovered it.
So not only are you spot on in your statements, but also those folks are entirely hypocritical.
And you know what? It’s killing it for dungeons. I’ve all but given up on classic dungeons now, so I just log in to raid. When I want my dungeon fix, I do go play retail. The point of this thread is that classic needs this functionality to bring more people into classic dungeons, which will only benefit the entire community.
Folks like yourself are choosing this hill to die on, for no logical reason, and you’ll take the game with you just to stick to a mantra that you don’t even believe in.
No, nobody needs it. Those who want it can go retail. If you don’t like…don’t play it.

Then nobody wants to run that dungeon. It’s that simple. It doesn’t matter what kind of system you put in, if people don’t want to run that dungeon, they won’t.
P.S. You are a warrior, learn to tank if you want a group. Nobody is going to be willing to invite a dps warrior to a dungeon so you can roll on the loot they want.
I can tell you exactly what happens if group finder exists. You get into a group as a dps war after an hour or two of waiting, the warrior tank initiates vote kick on you, it passes, and they refill instantly while you have the penalty for being kicked and cant even queue for a while.

No Vanilla didn’t have LFD OR LFG.
I also started the game at the end of wrath’s patch when LFD was introduced.

Nah I make money from the ppl that don’t run dungeons. You know certain things in there drop.
It’s your choice not to go. Very easy to make a group. You don’t need a tank all the time.
Here is comp that you don’t need a tank.
3x mages or 3x rogues or lock with cc pet or a mix not for cleave. Cc focus fire one at a time.
1x priest heals and cc
1x melee or 1x spell caster for immune Targets.
The melee or range can ping pong boss. While healer heals.
Tips on tanks if you want a tank.
Tanks = ret/prot Paladin has talents in holy, feral Druid, and warrior that has shield and is smart for cc(warriors not that good at tps nor aoe threat). Possibly a shaman but I don’t play horde I don’t know.
I do dungeons for fun and get things.
You don’t need LFR/LFD just need communication
If you have a tank any healer will do.
So, much more you can do with different group builds around a dungeon.
Addons that did LFG (not LFD) type functionality started cropping up in the later half of Vanilla. This is what I was referring to in my post.
These addons would exist in Classic too, where I and many others would happily change them, but Blizzard made changes to disable them.

Ohh gotchya! Any addins that work for others that feel the need to use them would be AOK with me.
classic will most likely end up the same way as oldschool runescape did before they started making updates for the betterment of the game. huge launch, lot of stuff to do, people got through to the end-game, realised it wasn’t actually that great with all the bugs and lack of content. game almost died until they finally gave in and started fixing bugs, adding new quests, new content etc and now it’s population increased almost tenfold.
One thing I wouldn’t be upset about seeing in Classic is the LFG tool from retail insofar as that you can open up the LFG tool and punch in saying you’re forming a group for X and people could whisper you saying they’d go. You’d still have to whisper for an invite, travel to the dungeon, realm specific etc, but it would consolidate people LFGing a bit more.
But it’s a slippery slope and I doubt it’ll ever happen. It doesn’t really need to either, but it’d be handy.
