Ban all LFG addons.

Cool. So the devs made the addon API and have pruned API that did things they didn’t intend to happen. They’ve very pointedly left in the API that allows ClassicLFG so they intend for it to be in the game.

The addon post in a chat that they’re LFM. How does not having the addon disable you from sending them a tell asking for an invite?

Nobody has answered this. It’s because it’s near zero. The game needed something like this before they added LFG. Instead they went that-a-way.
Again, from the video I linked at the 1:40 mark onward. Ion says that to have an addon in game and to have the philosophy of to not use it. ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH!! It breaks the fabric of the game and thus these addons need to be removed from Classic.
So this is why it matters!!! Blizzard said that it matters!! I even time stamped it for you. Telling people to not use it isn’t good enough!!! It need to be removed and Blizzard needs to keep their word that they will remove these game breaking addons that become exploits. Taking it to far changing the Classic experience!
Prrtty sure blizzard has the final say in what goes into the source code before the wow client is built. The buck stops with them and they are the ones to blame for letting it progress to where it is now.
DBM made raiding too easy but they allow it just like LFG will make grouping too easy.

You can recall( I actually like being proven wrong due to my negative outlook) this post if healers and tanks use this thing as well. I don’t think they will. So it’s basically a bunch of dps.
People keep saying to “ban the addon.”
I have yet to see ONE locical post as to HOW to ban the addon without serious changes to code. So, is it #nochanges, or is it #onlychangesIlike?

Have you ever given a reason why? Or just a straight no? Because often in Vanilla a reason was given (not every time mind you) in which a conversation could be had, ie social interaction.
Ah, but that’s where YOU draw the line. But as you start moving goal posts for what’s acceptable, you invite other player who want to move them even further than you might like. What if someone makes an addon that mimics exactly what dungeon finder and custom group finder does in retail? Now we’ve moved even further away from the Vanilla experience.

No, it doesn’t play the game for you. It does have the potential to remove social interactions and be abused, which is not in the spirit of what Classic is trying to achieve, which is a Vanilla experience.
This would be a far better option for the community than any auto invite option.
If anyone uses it then Classic is off to a ruined launch. How can you not grasp that it’s not okay for anyone to use it, even Dps! It’s not hard. It’s a game breaking 3rd party feature that adds into the game specifically what Blizzard removed from the game. It crosses a barrier that isn’t acceptable.
It’s not okay for this to exist! All addons/exploits like this need to be removed ASAP. Sorry if you feel differently, you are indeed wrong.
Yep, it’s another post about this addon and it’s serving as a great way to let people know about it so they can use it.
Remember, the addon is ClassicLFG. It lets you easily find people to get stuff done with, be social with, maybe even eventually guild with. A real boon for social interactions in the game.
It’s just like the original Vanilla LFG addon, Call To Arms. So, no changes!

Yes it did and what did blizzard do? They turned up the mechanics and difficulty to compensate. Like an evolutionary arms race, or the red queen from alice in wonderland.

How do you remove an addon from existing?
I don’t need to give a reason. If I’m telling you no there’s probably a fairly obvious reason why. This isn’t Carebears.
No its where Blizzard draws the line. They’ve stated that addons that play the game for you (the infamous one is the ICC raid assist addon), which make the game substantially easier for people to complete content, forming a group isn’t content, sorry.
There it is. It hasn’t done anything but build fear in your hearts. The addon isn’t released in Classic and we have no way to know how it works. You’re being fear-mongered into believing this game will silence all chats.
It can post in chat. That feature can also be disabled by the person forming the group. If that happens only people using the addon can apply to that group, people without that addon wouldn’t even know that group needs people. And what’s more convenient, having people whisper you asking for an invite or simply having their info displayed in a pane and declining them without saying a word?
