I mean that’s why most features are removed. People can’t bot their character to 60 for a reason. It affects other people who don’t use it.
Bluzzard needs to ban these lfg addons. If we’re just going to ignore the reality of a community driven game like classic. Why not just open a fresh start retail server and let alllllllll the people trying to ruin classic go play there? #BANLFGADDON

Someone who knows more about addons could probably tell you why. I would assume it has something to do with what version they have it listed for in the .toc file.

Maybe you can tie up the lose ends of our conversation. 
Can’t wait for the people using this add-on to try and join a group and then get rejected because of their garbage spec. Then you’ll understand why people wanted Blizzard to not allow it.

A shadow priest can heal.
A ret pally can heal.
But they might be rejected because they aren’t “optimal”
Yup. Then they’ll cry, “BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE FINDING A GROUP EASIER!!!” and hopefully at that point they will just panic and log back into retail for good.
The only people this would effect is healers in non heal spec and warriors not in tank spec. What’s wrong with wanting people to be specc’d right for groups so that it doesn’t waste people’s time with constant wipes?
I think the type that will use this add-on are from retail since they are used to addons that exclude.
The ones that are excluded might be the ones that don’t min/max and follow the herd.

Not true, I don’t play retail and have no desire to ever again and I will use this addon if it’s available.

I can see that for raids but dungeons ?
I was shadow the entire time and did ok healing in dungeons.

This addon was in vanilla.
I healed just fine as shadow spec too for dungeons back when the game first released so I get that. Tanks though not specc’d for tanking can just end up wasting everyones time with constant wipes. I’ wouldn’t mind being able to see that they can tank before adding them.

I beg to differ. A pally can be holy/prot with the right set up and just switch gear and tank dungeons.
30/21/0 give you enough to be able to tank.
I feel the dangers we get into here is that it may become the “norm” for most guilds and now we are utilizing a way to see another players actual spec, how they specced, etc.
I see it on par with ilvl, etc.
There are some things the addon is decent about, but I have to agree to an extend, it is not in the spirit of Classic and may create more harm than good.
Also, can you imagine seeing hundreds of players all suddenly spamming chat channels? I mean, to get KO’d by a wall of spam chat every min might be a bit over the top.
