I just went to test the 4.7 version of this lfg addon on Classic. It won’t show up in the addon list at the character screen. If I use the newest version 6.0 that version does. So the version with the auto invite isn’t useable in the client, just the newest version that doesn’t have the auto invite feature.

Just FYI, I know of multiple guilds on different servers that won’t allow people using this add-on in their guild. There are a few guilds that will even blacklist you just for having this add-on. So use at your own risk. I don’t anticipate many people will be using it (assuming Blizzard doesn’t ban it, which is likely.)

Edit: you won’t even know people have it. Get over yourselves. We had one just like it called vque on pservers and it doesn’t change the game for those who don’t use it.

I think that when there is less automation (teleports, dungeon finders etc) or simplification(gearscore, item acquisition) being an @sshole is harder. When you need to take time to manually find a group, ask for invite and get in location. You can gauge what people are like (how they write, what their gear looks like, how long it takes for them to get to location etc). And the fact that you get to know people on your server makes people to be on better behavior.

All those things take effort and time. More time and effort you put in to things, the more likely you are to try to stay in and not cause drama or be the “ruiner of fun”. Your reputation will follow you and if you are “that guy” it will get harder and harder to do things that require other people.

Whenever you get to play with people that stand out in positive light you tend to try and add them to form groups or even communities in future.

What are you rofl about? You are being deceptive in your posting retail videos and clipping quotes to say what you want them to say.

There is a single version of the addon that works in both Classic and Retail.

This was confirmed by the addon developer.

I am personally glad someone added a lfg addon. Auto invite or no auto invite, I will definitely be using it. Servers are way larger than in classic. Spamming chat channels will not work very well given the sheer volume and speed the channels will be scrolling. We need a lfg addon period.
