Don’t believe you, but cool, if you are. Full looms, and draught of ten lands, and still takes 2 dungeons, and maybe half of another to get a level. But ya the wisdom of the winds whatever it’s called is awesome.
1.5 is about what I saw as well. I found that open world questing and gathering herbs and ore were faster though. Think I did 3, ramparts, blood furnace and utgarde on my trek to 111.
Would be nice. I just finished leveling the last of the allied races to 120 yesterday. That xp buff helps motivate to want to level a character. Especially for the folks who have already leveled characters numerous times before. Miss the days of power leveling though.
Since the changes last year. The world scales now for the content youre in classic…Mists, etc.
You used to have to move from zone to zone more or less. Now you are a bit more free to choose the zones you like. (I hate some of them, love others)
“ive played this content 100 times…PLEASE make me slog thru it again”
It shouldn’t be a slog. Why isn’t Mythic+ or raiding a slog even though people do that multiple times a week for months on end? Well, because it’s FUN and engaging.
Levelling is a slog for 6 hours as much as it is 12. It is un entirely tedious, mindless, static, neglected and disconnected (from the rest of the game) joke. That is why it’s not fun, not because one has done it before.
It’s not as if people do the Strangethorn Vale quests three times a week for months anyway is it? No, on average people might do them once or twice a YEAR but somehow it’s still unengaging.
The whole damn design basis for an MMORPG is that it is a living and breathing world that is MEANT to be lived in. It should always be entertaining going to the same old zones - like sitting in Ironforge for example - because it is a world with a life of its own, or rather that’s what it should be. The open world fails miserably in doing that, which is again why levelling is in a monstrously awful awful state and a total shame.
All they need to do is incorporate end game reasons to visit old zones, and infuse them with scaling content, say open world scenarious with stages that last days-- my example has always been a developing Defias invasion in Westfall.
That will never happen with Ion in charge bringing his end-game top raiding stats stats efficiency stats.
I said this before that simply slashing levelling times is not actually any kind of fix, but instead sweeping the problem under the carpet by essentially removing the feature bit-by-bit rather than actually IMPROVING it.
You know it’d be nice if they added stuff but you know, I just can’t see Blizzard doing that given how they seem to be going on the cheap more and more. Old world zones won’t even get new skyboxes.
It’s great, but I’m still struggling to level certain classes that I don’t really click with. There is something about Monk that I struggle with compared to other classes. Maybe it’s that the cooldowns don’t feel as impactful as say a Paladin?
I’m on my second character since the boost! Did a pally to 110 for heritage and just got 106 on this DK. I might do a Warlock as well before I take either of them though BFA. It’s been a lot of fun, though Shadowlands should be even better where you can stick with a particular expansion all the way. I barely got through Borean Tundra before I hit 80, and not all the way through Valley of the Four Winds before I hit 90 (skipped Jade Forest).
Considering Westfall maxes out at level 60 mobs and quests, I don’t see how being level 74 would do you much good in a zone that would give you little to no XP at that level. I get the gist of your post, but it isn’t accurate.
There’s a group sync thing now. From what I understand if you’re let’s say level 74 and grouped with someone who is 20 I guess if you “group sync” you can both level & quest in the same zone. So that’s what that player might be doing. At least that’s how I think it works, but never used it so I’m not entirely positive.
Same. Only wish I could pick one of the other cata zones beyond Hyjal and however you spell the water zone. Would be nice to start off in the highlands or uldum.
Same w/ pandaria. I am a bit burned out w/ the Jade forest.
I’ve gotten two sets of heritage armor since the buff! I think next will be my Nightborne Warlock, but I’m tempted to work on the lightforged dranei weapons achievement, probably already halfway done on another character!
I got this guy from 96 to 120 in a day. In fact, I resubbed because of the experience gain. I went back to level my hunter and been having a ton of fun.
Aaaaaand I went back to farm tusks while the sub is still active lol
