Leveling Difficulty Changes Incoming

Trust me it was a tweaking issue nothing more.

And yet here you are lvl 80 speaking about a topic that has to do with normal dungeons that you don’t even participate in.

The scaling was legit an issue. My 495 ilvl ele shaman was deleting entire dungeons in a few spellcasts. It was ridiculous. I thought it was only higher ilvl toons like 512+ but its even just LFR geared 70s that were breaking dungeons.

Its called they are fixing something that was unintended. Ie, it wasn’t supposed to be a part of the game to begin with.

Thats what these open ended iterative games do. If they never fixed problems and unintended issues, the game would be horrible and a lot more players would leave.

Do you get the picture now?

Alrighty. We’re over :30 on the current hour.

Like this post if you think it’ll be pushed another hour.

just wait until this scaling fix makes timewalking dungeons harder. TW has always changed from expansion to expansion, sometimes being super easy sometimes challenging.

ALSO, if they were serious about the power creep, level 70 set bonuses would be disabled entirely now (and obsolete DF content s/b nerfed).

But they’re trying to address the poor model of leveling worlds with bandaids instead.

> Hey! I have an idea! Infinitely scaling up content means we don't have to maintain our stat systems and gear appropriate to new content!
> Spends countless hours trying to "patch up" all the problems with infinitely scaling content instead.

New problems for old solutions…

Then don’t let the game LAUNCH this way. Is it hard to understand? Why have a Beta at all? FIX the issues BEFORE the launch. Makes the whole beta testing entirely pointless. They need to make sure stuff is fixed and ready to go BEFORE they release it, not change it after the fact

how does that have anything to do with the fact this scaling change is going to be a leveling nerf?

But I did run them. I wanted to see the bosses and mechanics of the bosses and mobs. Guess what that did not happen, it still does not happen in heroic save maybe some of the bosses. Heroics need to be buffed as well.

Nah, I ran these on my warrior as dps, and the demonhunters regularly outpaced me at times. Despite heroic leaps and double charges, they would basically pull most the wings in the dungeon and then blow everything right before the boss. Deaths of DPS to AOE were common; even the healers died at times; no one bothered to res or wait for people to run back. Tanks didn’t care nor slow down because they didn’t have to. I didn’t mind because it was fast XP, but many people in the early access tanking were doing it with like 515+ item LVs at LV 70. Basically Gods.

Please let’s stop with the personal insults it’s not helping anyone.

Two major problems are even pre nerf my dungeons are not always 5 mins? Everyone is operating on this “5 min dungeon” assumption and it absolutely was not true for me even pre nerf because of pugging it was a total dice roll.

The problems is no one knows if it’ll be 5 to 15. for all we know it’s going to be a marginal difference which is still annoying due to the lack of communication and the blatant disregard of player feedback. There are more people saying 76-80 is too hard than people saying 70-75 is too easy . The tuning were getting is not the tuning the majority wanted

We will have to see the changes first. Right now im hoping the speed isnt much different and it just gives everyone a chance to hit 2 buttons rather than one person just one shotting everything.

If timewalking is hard, people come to the forums and complain and it gets fixed ASAP. At least that’s my past experience. And I love how easy they are. <3

Just like Blizzard - maybe they should apply given that a lack of basic math fundamentals doesn’t seem to be an issue - well at least as long as they aren’t responsible for revenue.

Maybe they could try to adjust dungeon scaling without changing open world?

I don’t know if that’s possible, but it seems to me there were more complaints about the dungeon scaling than those about level 70 questing.

When you can understand how a group of belligerent and angry posters can drive away people from this game with an uncrafted and improvisational campaign of misery and spin-doctoring, then perhaps, you can understand the decisions I make. Until you face mobs of psychology, you will not see my side.

Until you see some bright-eyed player coming onto the forums wanting to know what they should spec as this class, and see them shat on and driven away by petty and selfish people who are simply leveraging for game buffs, you will not understand.

You will not understand until you have to see it daily, for years…

Until you understand that many people will trod over you to get where they’re going, or to get what they want.

Until you understand that so many people will agree, completely, 100% with a loud, vulgar and assertive individual, not because he is right, but because he is making a stand against “the Man”; to take no critical thought in what they say, but simply to hop on board.

Until you actually try to acknowledge those who do not speak on the forums, for whatever reason they have, you will not understand.

If you think an archaic business formula like “the customer is always right” works, you fail to understand customers, not a customer. It is a collective. No one person, even myself, is truly above the whole.

I simply have the unfortunate quality of being easily singled out.

So? lol

Doing things that is a “nerf” sometimes is for the betterment and longevity of the game as a whole.

Would you have called it a nerf if the scaling was correct in the first place?

yeah most heroics I just sit in all the mechanics only one that really hurts is the instant kill stuff and the consecrate mobs when the tank pull that whole room and we end up with like 10 overlaping consecrates

Just FYI - scaling for Legion TW was borked (players scaled too low) in the prepatch and it wasn’t fixed (though I agree, usually the first time after a major change when TW gets borked, it’s fixed by Thurs at the latest).
