the anti-RDF crowd knows how RDF works. It is known that it has more convenience features built into it. They just don’t believe that the price of automated grouping is worth it.
Blizzard could add the PTR vendors so people can get free consumables, gems, and enchants whenever they want. It would be very convenient for players. But not everyone would want that.
Do you even play this game at all? No? Don’t see the warriors getting rejected invites, people getting kicked right before looting so someone can get the loot with no competition, the random kicks because someone screwed something up, the ninja looting?
anecdotally, no i do not see this. I invite people in a first come, first server manner. I’ve done a run of H MGT with a rogue and two shadow priests as the DPS.
I don’t think I’ve ever removed any one from party ever in a dungeon scenario.
The worst of “ninja” i’ve seen are people who need on the random green drops in the instance. And even then, everyone just switched to rolling need as well to combat him, didnt even kick that guy.
I’ve only been kicked once or twice for no reason twice in at least 1000 runs since RDF got added. I promise you there aren’t random groups of kicking trolls lurking at every corner.
Pure hypothetical opinion: Even if you get have the misfortune of getting booted 1 out of every 10 times, the time you save queueing vs searching will more than make up for the time lost.
You can’t ninja loot in RDF. Need and greed dice rolls only, assuming the roll the second version preventing plate from rolling on cloth items. Wait til you see groups in the tool reserving everything to disenchant.
I could log into retail right now and be in a group within 30 seconds and making my first pull in 5 mins with LFG. But I’d have a 10-20 minute que for LFR or RDF.
