You can try it right now on retail… its the same as the LFG channel… tank and heals instant groups… dps no not at all… ilvl and spec will gate players just as hard as it does on retail. Bc 1% really bothers this community for some reason

This, most of the raids weren’t nerfed in Wrath aside from Bugs. And nerfs that did happen were minuscule for the most part.
Then you have ICC which had the increasing buff stacks, which Blizz may allow you to determine how many stacks you want to increase the difficulty instead of turning it all off.
So taking away bugs, the nerfs that did occur where small %'s. Not entire mechanics removed like with Lady Vashj
Its bc they usually wait 3-5 min for a prefered spec and ilvl to sign up and then you denied entry.
It’s always going to be that way and trade chat spam vs LFG tool vs RDF will not change that.
I disagree. When you run +2 in mythic plus people don’t care about your spec. ilvl is a little different but if you have heroic dungeon gear you’ll get into groups without issue.
And you can always just form your own groups.
I will wait for a spell such as lust or brez or specific dispel. But that’s because if I didn’t have those it could make the difference between timing a key or not.
If it’s a leveling dungeon I’m not waiting for that.

Trying to fix things that aren’t broken is stupid. Unless it’s an improved version of DF instead of a replacement, I’m not interested. The Dungeon Finder was great.
The problem with io/gear score/whatever is that to get higher score, you have to get invited to groups and run the dungeons in the first place… Which doesn’t happen if you don’t have the score already.
It’s a vicious cycle of exclusion.
Even without those systems/addons in place, any spec that is considered non-meta or less than S/A tier is going to have an awful time getting groups.
I rerolled specifically on a populated, balanced server, and I am going to switch (70 boost upon Wrath launch) to a class and spec that are perceived as strong. I’m doing all this because I know how frustrating it is to play a spec that is stygmatized by players who blindly follow tier lists and think nothing about things like hybrid emergency off healing or CC, saving groups from wipes. Things I consider fun gameplay.
It stifles creative play, but it sounds like we have no choice. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised, and people won’t abuse this new retail tool every way possible on Wrath classic launch.

I’ve seen healers get vote kicked because a dps got mad about dying because they were standing in fire. Ya, RDF isn’t great at all.
And it wasn’t even out before patch 3.3.0

I’m just going to form my own groups and dominate dungeons until I can get into raids.
Add all the good players to my friends list and pug their raids.

Huge LoL if you don’t think that’ll happen with any random healer. Whaddya think happens in retail when someone does bad? Group falls apart. Happens every hour of every day.
I will form my own group. And I’ll be the group leader. Bam no one can be kicked for bad reasons.

So, let’s say the dps gets mad becase he died and blames the healer even though they were in fire. I’ll link them their death recap get them rez’d and carry on. If they leave I’ll post our group in LFG and keep pulling. When we get a replacement we’ll run out use the summoning stone and finish the dungeon. Or if we have a warlock summon them directly to us – I’m probably always to recruit warlocks for this reason.

I know I’ve left mid pull when I notice it’s going south with no hope.
I’m confident in my tanking that most of my dungeons will be good. If one does go south and I’ll just reform and go again.
I’ll be inspecting people at the summoning stone though to make sure I don’t have any liabilities.
It will be garbage in WotLK just like it is on live. You snowflakes want to cry about how “your feels got hurt in this group that one time”. Wait until you get booted out of someones group right after they push your feels in with a smile on. This method I always found brought out more pricks than the old LFD tool. Just wait and see…

This entire thing was completely unnecessary. Blizz had an authentic tool that worked perfectly for Wrath and directly fixed a lot of problems plaguing TBCC. And they remove it and replace it with a Retail system. That’s just completely ridiculous.
