Lets Try The New LFG Before We Rage About No LFD

Which is what I’m saying, every 10-15 legit ads you see 1 RMT/WTS add. In the dungeon LFG section. Raid section is far worse (especially since its end of raid tier and FOMO for AotC), and other sections hardly have any.

And most people, like when looking for a group for a normal TBC dungeon won’t really care. Unless they inspect the player and see them in an extremely awful talent build (like not even spec’ed into Tank/Heals/DPS), or extremely low level gear because they are boosted.

I mean, gearscore, inspections at the bank fountain, what’s the difference?

Well we dont have a choice. So we will try it or quit. The problem with it, without trying it, is that we already have tried lfd as it was and want it. This new tool is supposed to be more like what is available in retail. How can we complain about retail, but then be happy with them replacing a classic feature with a retail feature.

What exactly is the issue with the tool? I keep occasionally hear people say it’s horrible, but what exactly is currently lacking? You list yourself for dungeon you want to do, you type in the comment line your role if you’re a hybrid class, and then in the other part of the tool you can see all the groups with all the members and all the signed up people with their classes, levels, and comments listed. What’s missing there?

For one thing you can only list yourself for three things.

Want to just do any dungeon? too bad.

The difference is, with fountain inspection you actually have to go to the person and make the effort to inspect them. If Gearscore shows up with the LFG tool, people will just automatically pick the best geared players every time. That insures only the sweatiest players ever get groups.

To each their own.

Only thing it matters for is raids honestly and if you’re doing something like heroic ICC you need to be picky with recruits.

Most of the time when it comes to dungeons and being denied it’s far more an overabundance of recruits then actually being too picky.

I can’t find that information in the blue post do you have a link to it?

Because only being able to list or apply for 3 things would not be good.

The current tool, not the new tool, the person I was replying to was talking about the TBC tool we have now.

Until all the sweaty players are in dungeons and you’re all that’s left. Or make a group yourself and then you can pick your own sweat level as you see fit.

Pretty much this. If I list in retail a +2 key (for valor farming while my alt is fresh) I get in a few seconds at peak times 30+ DPS listed now with cross faction. And as a dps I’m only taking 2 others.

I’m pretty sure everyone is talking about dungeons and maybe normal raids in discussions regarding LFG. Usually, only guild groups do heroic raids anyway.

In retail most of the time you’re not picked is because there are tons of dps apps and has nothing to do with you as an individual.

I would never blame any group for being picky in a raid comp. 5-mans are critical to do every day or else you’ll be hurt badly trying to gear up without emblems to spend. There should be no discrimination there.

Hate this move so much.

Thanks for repeating what i said i guess?

People are already pugging SWP, Heroic raids will be pugged just like they were back in the day, but even moreso.

The LFG tool will absolutely be used for heroic + hard mode fights in raid.

Ain’t nobody gonna be pugging pre-nerf ulduar hard modes. That’s a death sentence from the start.

They’re not doing pre/post nerf.

I heard they were starting pre nerf? I could be wrong.

Nope, in an interview with wowhead he specifically said there might be a few outliers but they’re not planning a pre/post nerf system for wrath.
