Oh sorry, you don’t have an actual argument, only an ad-hominem attack?

I also have a port pally I play for fun and I wish Shield of the Righteous really should increase your by a % of your strength, armor. But having it as a static number make no sense. It seem like Shield of the Righteous is just one stack of ironfur on my guardian driud and I can stack multiple ironfur
it’s about having what other have w/o working for it. Typical wow forum attitude
It will be a small number of people, but we all know what specs will have them and what specs won’t.
Also *she
I have no reference to go by since I only tanked on this paladin. I can say though that our defensive cds, especially with the talent, is very short and can pretty much stack SoTR with a defensive every pull.
When ever you divine toll, make sure to look out for the blue anima orbs. They extend the mastery bonus by 3 seconds each, always drops 3. The mastery bonus and the barrier you get makes for a strong 1 minute cd, that also aoe silences, and deals good dmg.
this is wow. There is no girl in game. Only girls are G.I.R.L. (guy in real life)
tbh I miss old sotr back in legion where it was dmg reduction rather than armor. It was really nice back then. Pally felt so much more tankier
Oh by the way, I had a chance to fight Devos. She doesn’t get any damage reduction in the circle, so I was wrong about that one.
This is a good thread - I did not know this!
glad we got that cleared out.
Strength does increase the amount of armor SotR yields. Unless I’m misinterpreting what you’re stating here, The more strength we have, the more armor we receive from SotR. You can easily see this by equipping/de-equipping a STR trinket and seeing the tool tip increase. Can also double verify by taking Blessed Hammer, and casting SotR with/without the trinket to see the armor.
Yeah, great thread! And honestly digging into that specific mechanic, it plays on classic concept of “adds out, focus or engage adds”, but it actually punishes you for that.
I am personally doing fine as is, but as the expansion progresses, I think the increase in strength and other stats will help us feel beefier.
I agree and I dont think Tyrannical is a huge problem or anything, but one of the 2 affixes has to be the hardest one right? I dont see the point in denying that Tyrannical is harder for most of the player base, regardless of the reason why.
I dont think tyranical is the problem. If anything it’s the accompanied affix that we can see w/ them. For example bolstering only shows up on tyr week.
I dont find tyran harder at all, it only becomes really hard above 18s. Usually what screw up lower keys is taking too long on trash during tyran weeks and not beating the timer.
It depends on how far along we are in the tier right? Doing a +15 at the start of the tier was probably harder than doing a +18 now, just because of gear and covenant power progression.
That is true but bosses damaging abilities are not an issue on 15s assuming your gear is on par with the key level. If you have ppl undergeared it will be a struggle even on fort weeks. The difference is that its easier to make up for lack of Aoe than ST for bosses.
When playing a goblin character I’ve stood at the bottom of the steps and had the statue fly directly over my head without hitting me before landing at the top of the steps. Might work for a gnome!
Improper conclusion! I banish thee back to the introductory chapter of every introductory statistics textbook ever written! ![]()
Yeah, boss damage at +15 is not an issue as long as mechanics are being followed. Avoidable damage is meant to be avoided and not brute forced.
Gear is definitely a factor, but skill is weighed much more heavily this expansion. Gear gives about 1% dps per ilvl and as your gear increases it becomes exponentially more difficult to increase that average ilvl for the same base rate of return. There is no excuse for a 220 of any class and spec to be doing under 4k dps overall. Yet, I see it frequently.
