Lets Revisit Why There is a Black Lotus Problem

Everything is more expensive because people are generally better at farming at inflation is high as a result.

You don’t need Lotus. #nochanges

From what I’ve read, you’re gonna absolutely need them on tanks at the very least the first few times you’re soaking up Hateful Strikes (and other fun things in Naxx). On this server (US Herod), I foresee a small number of guilds being able to get far in Naxx because of how important being fully buffed will be for the average player.

My guess is they wanted alliance to get into the horde grindball and feed them more Honor instead of gathering and fishing.

:man_shrugging:

No changes would entail herbs spawing in AV.

Some people just like to type #nochanges without thinking that Blizzard already went ahead and changed those things

#nochangestothechanges

If that was true, they’d have given us the original version of AV that was a half day long HK fest.

If they did that we would be happy.
So they didn’t

It should happen, there’s no reason they should ever be more than 50g.

They are depriving the playerbase and attributing the the negative effects of supply/demand.

The only reason for them to have done this, is if they are in cahoots with botters and making money off of the sale of wow gold from china.

The player base is doing that to themselves though, if the demand for black lotus tanks then so will the price; but people are so caught up in this meme of needing to flask for ALL content pvp/pve/rp/erp etc. that the lotus sellers can charge whatever they want because they know they will have customers to spend 300-500g on a lotus

Naxx is a long ways away - many things could happen by then.

Research what happens on private servers when AQ40 launches.

The demand for Lotus is going to drop because the number of casual players in the game is going to drop.

It will whittle down to guilds that clear through attrition by sucking it up in raids without flasks, and guilds that have already prepared themselves with flasks from P1 until now.

By the time Naxx launches, who knows what Lotus prices will be at as a result of people simply not caring as much about Lotus.

That’s assuming Blizzard doesn’t intervene.

Clearly you don’t understand supply and demand. Imagine if every AV had a black lotus spawn, no one would be able to charge that much, as the market would be flooded with thousands of lotus’, just as it was in actual vanilla.

Start asking for the change and stop arguing against logic and reason.

No. They are 300 because the most popular class in the game has the easiest and best farm in ZG. If ZG was harder than tribute runs we wouldn’t be at this point right now.

The problem is, when Lotus are introduced in AV - everyone queues for AV, rushes to the Lotus, and /afk’s out when it’s picked.

They are going to keep going up, because the supply isnt what it should be. It’s not enough to support the playerbase.

Crazier things have happened and gone down throughout the years concerning business and profits. You might be into something here.

Simple and super easy fix to the BL problem would be to have them proc off of the other high end herbs - mountain silversage, plague bloom etc. in addition to their regular spawn points and timers

I dont see this as a problem, it’s how the game was.

Many will stay to farm the silversage, dreamfoil, and wintersbite.

Have you ever actually tried to farm Wintersbite in classic? its literally the worst, another horrible issue that could have been solved if they added herbs to Av as they should have. The version of AV matters less than the economical detriment of not having herbs spawn there.

It’s not enough to support the playerbase now.

There are so many dynamic factors here that it’s hard to explain.

People want flasks for content that doesn’t require flasks. They simply are under prepared and have been coasting on the AH instead of farming Lotus themselves.

When AQ40 hits and the prices of Flasks double, those people who have been brute forcing content and focusing on parses instead of proper mechanics are going to struggle.

They will quit the game, guilds will dissolve.

Guilds remaining will be players who either don’t flask and gear through what they can kill each week until they can clear the raid - or guilds that are full of NEETs that have both been stock piling Lotus and farm gold all day to buy Lotus.

This will decrease the price on Lotus over time because the demand will not meet the supply - assuming the people hoarding the Lotus continue wanting to make gold.

You don’t need Wintersbite for ANYTHING, Mages spec Fire in AQ40.

Bring back layers as well… Blizz you really dropped the ball by having server populations at the levels they are.

You are completely mislead and delusional. All they had to do was have herbs in AV, as it was in actual vanilla, and there would be no issue.
