Thanks to this a new Fanon spontaneously occurred to me. The Forsaken do not much treasure gold or most creature comforts. They do not need food, water, or even air. What they do need as slowly decomposing zombies, is parts. As such, they are the valuable commodity in forsaken culture. Forsaken currency is not backed on a gold standard, but on a flesh standard.
