Lets bring back Faction pride

Lets go back to the roots of Warcraft. Two warring factions - none of this Disney were different but were gonna work together non-sense.

Lets get back to the primitive.

Back to what brought people into this game.

LOK’TAR OGAR!!!
I’LL GRIND MANS BONES TO MAKE MY BREAD.

HORDE POWER. HORDE PRIDE.

DOWN WITH ALLIANCE AND ITS SOFT BOYS.

My prediction:

Based on the number of people I see QQing and asking for the faction barrier to be brought down so they can play cross faction this thread is going to erupt into an argument over how factions don’t and shouldn’t matter anymore.

Let’s see if I’m right

Nah just get rid of factions

But isn’t that what Warcraft is? Sure theres always underlying factors for the two sides to War, but literally the entire history of the game is a conflict between the two.

Thats what makes it fun.

No one cares about killing npcs that cause conflict - I want to crush other people that look different and play on a different side.

Idk, BFA imo killed the whole faction pride thing for good. This whole splitting of the playerbase makes for overall less content, and subpar storytelling where neither side is satisfied. Not all of us want to play the other faction and just the race / character were into, so already it makes for less to do.

Does this make the bread soft and fluffy?

You’re thinking pvp when a lot of Alliance just want to be able to do M+, raid and find people to join their guilds.

When I was levelling it felt like there was a big Horde offensive we were getting prepared to fight against (admidst Treachery from Lady Ashvane who is smuggling Azerite).

When I hit Shadowlands it feels like suddenly all of that is cast aside as we help literal faeries (but worse cause they look like insects and not Tinkerbell but I digress) fight against a big bad.

When they do faction war stories it just leaves people feeling bitter as they can’t ever do a satisfying conclusion as both factions have to exist at the end. MoP’s ending sucked, and so did BfA’s as well.

Really they should just remove factions altogether.

Happiest moment in WoW in recent years was watching that tree BURN

Faction pride didn’t bring me here, I vaguely knew about the RTS games and frankly wasn’t a fan. Likewise, it won’t take me out either, if it gets too obnoxious I’ll just ignore it. I play both and like it that way. Two different points of view, neither entirely correct or incorrect, that’s what I like.

The faction system is now just a barrier to gameplay, it’s not needed and hasn’t been applicable (in a lore sense) from BC onward. Just about every story arc since Arthas could have been more compelling without a faction divide. Without it we certainly wouldn’t have required increasingly cosmic villains to ignore said faction divide and fight as a unified army.

A correct story is easy to write. You need wins and losses in both sides. Bfa for example could have been fighting over azerite resources between factions. I’ll die before teaming up with any participation trophy players wanting no factions.

No. And we don’t want it that way.

Hmm this would explain the poor dental hygiene on the Horde

We don’t care about that either.

The root canals ain’t cheap

Another hypocritical topic created by Horde players, saying that faction war is the essence of the game, but at the same time this same people supports the faction inbalance by inviting Alliance player, who are unsatisfied with this situation, to join the Horde to “solve” the problem.

Guess what… You are helping to kill the faction war too.
If everyone are at same side, there is no war, just NPCs to kill in the other side.
